I don't know why the Luxury Seating Package isn't available for all the leather options. As far as I can tell that's the only way to get the cooled / ventilated seats...

What is in the "Lighting Package" other than automatic high beams? $1900! Xenon Adaptive Headlights with auto-leveling show as standard items...

In fact, I have a lot of questions. They need to add more information to the website. For instance, what do you get for $1900 with the Driver Assistance Plus package and/or $1200 for the ACC Stop & Go + Active Driving Assistant. I don't even see an explanation of what that even is. I assume some kind of cruise control that works in stop and go traffic. Or you can get the option (as opposed to the package) of ACC Stop & Go + Active Driving Assistant for $1900 (as opposed $1200). Not clear at all what the difference is. And why are we not able to select Dynamic Handling Package? And a little more explanation on the difference between "Dynamic Damper Control + rear axle air suspension" and "Dynamic Performance Control + Active Role Stabilization". (btw, BMW could also use a proof reader. It's Roll, not Role).

Has anyone noticed that the configurator for the X-Line or Luxury Line does not add any wheel well flarings when you spec out the 20" Light alloy Y-Spoke wheels style 451?
That 451 is a staggered setup, with 10 x 20 in the front and super-wide 11 x 20 in the back. For the previous X5, if you order this setup on a non-M-Sport, they'd add black plastic wheel flarings to accommodate the extra width. It would enhance the overall look, giving the X5 a wider, beefier stance from the front and especially the rear. I had this on my 2012 X5. But the image in the configurator looks like they just add the wheels with no flaring. (See photo, below) However, if you order the M-Sport option, which has those 451 wheels standard, it adds painted flarings. If you look back and forth between the Luxury or X-line and the M-Sport option, in the image of the X5 you can see how the wheels seem to come out more with the M-Sport, creating a wider stance...and this necessitating the flarings. Whereas with the X-line, the wheels don't stick out more and indeed come in more under the body of the X5. For me, this makes a big difference in the look. Only thing is, I don't want to pay for an M-Sport option to get it....I would be happy with unpainted flarings...in fact, I liked the look better than the painted ones...and they seemed more durable not being painted. Also, I'm concerned that the M-Sport comes with a stiffer suspension....and I definitely don't want a harsher ride. So, can anyone confirm that this all the case, that the wide stance and wheel flarings will only be available on an M-Sport? Last edited by gplank; 07-31-2013 at 03:01 PM.. |

Thanks. I can see the difference now on the 360 picture on the configurator. Looks better. Probably looks a lot cooler in person. Crap. That's another $1900.

Hello everyone,
For those of you living in Europe, Bmw CH (Switzerland) has finally online the European Configurator for the new F15: ITALIAN LANGUAGE: http://www.bmw.ch/ch/it/newvehicles/...figurator.html GERMAN LANGUAGE: http://www.bmw.ch/ch/de/newvehicles/...figurator.html On the link it appears as it would be the old E70 version, but if your scroll down and select any available X5 engine, it's actually the new F15 Enjoy, Alessandro |

Does anyone know if Navigation is standard with the M sport line? I am trying to configure the x35i and do not see navigation in any option or packages. Also, is the M performance included in the M sport line?

No, there is no difference in power between the lines on the F15 - at least not for now. Although...one could argue that the M Sport Line on the F15 actually has a "performance advantage" due to its exclusive sports-transmission which includes launch control. It also includes an increased top speed limiter. So all in all, I'd say it has a performance advantage - but it hasn't got more power. However, I wouldn't be surprised if BMW would come up at one point with some sort of M Performance Pack as a dealer-installed feature like on F30 335i, i.e.. |

Yeah. That's disappointing. Certainly not a world tragedy but the vented seats I've used in other cars in hot weather have been amazing.

Dynamic Handling Package?
I notice on the configurator it remains impossible to check the box for the Dynamic Handling Package? Is that because it's not available until after December?
