It's either your driving style or bad battery.

I've owned a 2016 40e 2 weeks now and played with settings. I can easily drive 14miles with electric only in Florida 90F heat and AC on normally (front and back).

Picture from Friday attached. 7 miles one way and after 14 miles I had 9% left and that included 5min preconditioning at the destination using battery!.

I also have M-sport and big 20inch wheels which adds rolling resistance.

Eco-pro makes the biggest difference, with lots of coasting. It's a heavy vehicle and in eco-pro you can take your foot off the pedal hundreds of feet before the traffic lights or stop. Yes, it also regenerates in eco-pro mode. When you press the brake pedal, do it very lightly. Brake pads are used only if you brake hard..

I'm assuming dealers have a software to check the battery health and faults. No driving needed..

That's what I'm thinking. Some people like my wife are natural lead footers and mash the gas at every opportunity .

I remember when we did the progressive obd 2 scanner to save on our insurance, I got the full percentage refund but my wife's driving habits had her discount percentage in free fall.

She can't get close to the milage I get in the 40e but like I say make it a game and try and beat your milage each time till you can shave off every little bit of travel distance you can before the ice turns on.
