It has square body with rounded edges. I like it but i think that brown is terrible. The old body style was more "color neutral" where detail didn't get lost in the paint. The new body style reminds me of the Bangle Era... Not very photogenic but probably look better in person.
The interior is ten times better and I think overall it is a worth successor. |

Terrible colors to choose for the launch photos. As much as I was looking forward to the new f15, the exterior just looks awful. Maybe it will look better in real life. The interior however is a massive improvement.

Put some 20's or 21" on the F'15 and it will be fine...Prefer the new generation interior over the E70....I like the Nav set-up especially.

eh, it looks ok. gone are the days of clean BMW designs, (i.e., E90 v F30.)

Except the fact that the F15 is lighter, with better fuel economy And that the 50i will probably be more powerful. I taking the e70 anytime over the F15.

The new one looks better on front dashboard even though E70 never looked cheap or bad.
The front is a tie or may be F15 little better than E70 but at the same time trying too hard like an Acura. E70 looks simple and graceful. The side profile, rear profile, the whole stance and athletic language is better in E70.....hands down. They have electric steering in F15 which is most likely to spoil the fun....just wait for the drive test before getting too excited. It happened in 3 series, 5 series and everywhere in BMW lineup. |

Exactly right...Camber, everything changes - including extended wheel arches which are are required for 20" and 21" set-up.

Overall I like it.
Dashboard looks good except for the non retracting Ipad copy jutting out. I miss the most unique glove box already - in fact the new one seems like it would encroach into passenger leg room. Rear end is very X3 like - hardly worth copying. The front is very formal and imposing - not a bad look I suppose but this look is meant to last until 2020 (weren't we meant to be living in outer space by 2020?). It's just not modern enough. Same goes for new 3 series, same for X3. The only thing that sets it apart is the finishes I would have to say eg. new style woodgrain and metal finishes inside (to my eyes at least) is very modern even though they do draw on mid 20th century German Bauhaus and Danish design. However the trapezoidal design of the E70 dashboard will forever be unique. |

I feel like the new design direction of BMW is keeping me less attracted to the brand. When Chris bangle was at the helm everything was bold and exciting. Lately, some of the more mainstream cars like the f30 and now the f15 are much softer and full of "meh".

Inside = hands down improvement
Front is pretty busy but I like the flatter lower hood. Side, what are those silver elements? Take them off Rear, I will get used to it, much better exhaust routing imo |

The new X5 looks bad in my opinion. It certainly does not have the wow factor. The interior is nice but that is about it.

it looks like they upsized everything... a pudgy E70. However, I'm glad that it's not as bad as the leaked / model toy pics... it's actually somewhat conservative redesign.
