Both look good. But I like x5M better. Those seats look like the Cobra logo from G.I.JOE.

How do fog lights help with night vision? Or are you suggesting they are leaving the cutouts for the fog lights there in case someone purchases a night vision package that will have the units installed in the fog light holes, which either way is a terrible reason to have fog lights there since night vision modules can be installed behind the front grille like most cars that have it/.

When you purchase the night vision package, the fog lights are used to send a directed beam onto the detected object (i.e. pedestrian) to highlight it. You can't put a lamp behind front grille obviously and expect it to do just that (for the sake of discussion - the only lamp/light you can put in there are the strobes used by the police/etc., and they obviously serve a different purpose).

Sadly this feature is disabled in the US.

The night vision thing in iDrive is available, together with selected HUD popup warnings, but the cool "Dynamic Light Spot" feature isn't. My guess is that it's the same DOT madness that blocks the excellent adaptive LED feature that "wraps" the high beam around oncoming traffic so it isn't blinded.

Sorry my mistake.

It's option 5A3 Night Vision with Dynamic Light Spot and pedestrian recognition which I don't see in USA or Can.

5AL corresponds to security features.
