Door pockets
Hello,
The interior of the door pockets in my 2016 X5 (M sport package) is just hard plastic and doesn't match the rubberized material of the door panel. If I put any small objects in them, they will cause a lot of rattles. My previous car was a E61 wagon and the interior of the door pockets matched the door panels. Are your door pockets hard plastic too? If so, did you add any kind of lining to minimize the rattles? It think that the quality of some trim pieces being used in this car is not up with what I was used to in my previous BMW. |

There should be rubber liners inside however the sides are still hard plastic.

The only items I store in those pockets are a water bottle and umbrella, can't think of a common item that would need to be stored there that would rattle. I store smaller items in the center console or glove box and keep spare change in the little drop-down compartment under the headlight controls.

It's hard plastic, just the bottom has the rubber inserts you can take out and clean.

Looks like these rubber inserts are part of the storage package S493A as can be seen here (parts 22 and 23):

If you don't have these, I would ask your dealer why it's missing rather than let them screw you over by asking for more money.

I have a new set in the garage.
I took them out of my vehicle and have no use for them. If you would like them they're yours.
