Waxing my new X5

Hi,
I just took a delivery for my X5 . Thinking about waxing my car. I 've been told that I should wait for awhile? Is it correct?
What kind of wax should I use? How about 3M protector for the front end?
I appreciate if someone can answer.
Thanks.

If you are looking for a paint protection film. Read up on Suntek or Expel paint protection. Plenty of reputable vendor/installers in the Bay Area. Congrats on the new ride.

Ikr? But that's probably another $10-15 g for paint correction/protection alone. Amazing results though.

That is purely a "look what is possible" but completely unrealistic for real life applications.

Opticoated the whole X first then applied Xpel to the full hood and front end, doors, everything from the belt line down, mirrors, and the roof between top of windshield and moonroof. Easy to clean and it shines up very nice.
