Love these wheels and soo tempted to make an offer since you're local. If available in about a month, I just might.

Looks like this seller is using your pic online to sell their wheels.

I AM CLOSE!

Good thing I am in Austin, no shipping required. How old are the tires, what's the date stamped on the tires?

HATE to point this out... but yeah, these are way over priced. I clicked on the link, the seller that used your picture, I can get brand new ones for $3,953. That being said, most rims & tire package, lucky if you get 60% what you paid. I'd offer you $2k.

That site didn't look too trustworthy though and likely aren't authorized resellers.

I thought the same thing too, but that site looks shady AF

$10K budget? Awesome, I'll let mine go for $4K and you save $6K. Haha... all good man. it's clear we're not going to come to an agreement so I sincerely wish you the best on your search. Have a good one

If your budget is $2k, I wish you the best in finding some quality wheels with quality tires. I'm also not expecting to recoup all my cost (hence the obo) so if someone is really interested, I'm open to serious offers.

Hate to make the waters muddier...

I do love the look of these rims, but was hesitant to jump on 22"s given the difficulty in sourcing tires. That does hurt their value. In addition they are now closeouts on tirerack, so whether tirerack will no longer stock or they are being discontinued by BBS also takes a hit to their value (due to difficulty to replace a rim). The rims were are now around $800 a piece new (tirerack has the rears only in stock as closeout for ~$850, fronts were priced less) and there is probably another $1400 for new rubber (for the contact sports). Plus another $150 for TPMS (just to give it some value, as you can easily recycle these from wheels). All in new would run someone about $4750 likely with free shipping.

We're looking at a very very very very lightly used 1-2 year old set for $4250 OBO (~11% discount from brand new price), if you are local great if not add about $120-150 per wheel to ship; puts it damn near the price of a complete new set. 2 years ago this set may have cost OP more, but we can see where the current new value is for a set so there really isn't much of a discount here vs. new.

Basic principles of business with supply and demand. We don't own gold bars, we own cars. Cars are a horrible investment and have tremendous depreciation, same with aftermarket parts that are designed specifically for one vehicle. We all love these beasts, but they are now an outdated out of production model in the automotive world. You cannot always expect top dollar for used out of date gear, no matter how minimal the use. If they haven't sold as yet maybe the price is too high for the market, holding them longer won't increase their value. We drive expensive cars and many of us have the money to afford them and the upkeep, but that doesn't mean we will or should overpay for mods. Probably most of us can afford to hold on to the gear until we get a price we like, but reality has to kick in at some point and say if there isn't strong interest in the item and its not selling, maybe its priced too high for the market.

My thoughts from someone who contemplated these many times.

OP GLWS.

Lots of good points and I agree. In fact, the x5m being a depreciating asset is the #2 reason why I sold mine. I'm open to serious offers hence the OBO but I'm not desperate to sell.

Looks like this is a great seller, with a good set to sell and, most of all, w/good attitude, .
Eventually, whether he's desperate to sell or not, he does not want to keep it forever.
I just don't think at this point, when X5Ms are selling in the low 50s, someone will pay 4K+ for this set.
My semi-educated guess is that it will fetch $3500-$3750 w/shipping.

My #1 reason is that I never really loved the x5m. That plus the new x5 coming out... I decided it was time to sell.
