FS: BMW 612M Gloss Black 10x21" ET40 36-11-2-284-652

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
For sale are 2 original BMW Style 612M Forged Alloy Rim # 8073981 (36-11-8-073-981)

Size: 10 x 21" ET40 for F85 & F86

Finished in Gloss Black powder coating. These were originally Orbit Grey & Machined (36-11-2-284-652) and I had them immediately refinished by NYC's powder coating king Tom Esposito of Espo's Powder Coating. These rims are beautiful!

The wheels are flawless, however I didn't get a pair of rear rims to have powder coated before I got rid of my X5M, and thus these have been sitting in my basement never used. I just realized I had these still, so listing for sale here.

These will fit any F15/F85/F16/F86, as well as the E70/E71 variants of X5/6 including Ms.

Wheels are list at $1500 each. Selling for $800 each, which is a steal. The wheels have not been mounted or driven on, so are true and straight.

Pickup in Wall, NJ 07719

Were these ever repaired for curb rash before having them painted?

No these were not damaged, they were the “stock” finish. I wanted the gloss black from the “fire edition” for my 2016 f85, however I wanted to keep my stock wheels for when I traded the car back, I would have all my stock parts.

I was only able to source front wheels and not rears before I decided to sell the X5M. I was looking for excellent condition, no damage/bend wheels since new from dealer was like $1300 each with a discount.

Also these were powder coated and not painted. Powder coating is much more durable and will last compared to paint. Stock finish was painted. The process for powder coating is a light sand blast to remove original finish, then they are coated in the powder and baked in a very high temperature Industrial oven to cure the finish on permanently.

Work was done by Espos powder coating in Staten Island NY. He is the authority on powder coating in the north east

Thanks for the info. I own the Black Fire addition and have all 4 gloss black. I actually had them all powder coated last year in gloss black again. I recently curd one and I'm considering getting another instead of redoing my wheel. Your price is a little to high for me but thanks again for the info.

No worries. The price I believe is fair given the cost of new, and powder coating. I am asking 50% of the oem parts cost, not including powder coating (for others who may be looking at the thread).

I’m sure a good powder coater can repair your curb damage and redo the powder coating…. Unless you really mangled or bent them

Minor curb Scrape/Rash trying to get out of a tight spot. I should have been patient. Lesson learned. If you decide to go down to $500 For one I would be interested.

Thanks
