Rust from AC drain near rear of transmission

Sooo during my transmission fluid replacements broke one of the rear screws holding the tranny belly pan, and during my next drain and fill replaced the C clip nuts and screws both at the rear of transmission. And while doing that noticed the likely reason for the rust in that area is the AC condensation drains that are above there on both sides of the transmission. Reason it became obvious was when I got under the car I kept getting water dripping in my face after removing the belly pan(on some the attached pics you can see the paper towel I stuffed between the transmission).
Has anyone noticed this and found a remedy to prevent this from happening by cutting off a couple of inches making the drain line sorter?
Or some other solution?

IMHO this is a stupid design mistake…..

I think the salts on the road will probably do more harm. Maybe spray those parts with fluid film or surface shield.

What state? Rust belt? Awful.

No such problem in Missouri.

Separately, have you looked closely at that driveshaft. That is how they look prior to an expensive failure.

Did have a good look at it and it’s just cosmetic rust presently, however it does concern me that it’s getting “pissed” on constantly in summertime here, (won’t contribute to its longevity) and yes I do get some rust from winter salt here but those two screws at rear of tranny do stand out compared to the rest under the car.
Will try to shorten those drain hoses sometime soon.

Or, you might lengthen the hose by slipping a larger hose over the factory part.

I actually installed extra European spec covers under the wife's F15. It was fun, serves no real purpose - but, I like the look even if I am the only one who will ever notice! lol.

Assuming you did that, can you provide some details on how to prevent that extension from falling off?
Thx

I would go trolling the aisle at HomeDepot or Lowes for hose. They have a bunch of choices down the plumbing/lawn sprinkler aisle.
