Can anyone tell me what means: "Order Status: 112 Scheduled for daily"?
I have production order number, no VIN yet.

Call BMW and find what the confirmed prod week is.. You will get the vin no when production starts.

For some reason when speaking with BMW NA today, they refused to give me the vin #. My car should be done by this Friday... I am not sure why they wouldn't give it to me... but did say that my dealership should have that info. Sounds really strange...

Did you get your vin over the phone from BMW NA?

Yes.. when i first called them, they gave me the vin no but when I called after few days to verify the vin, they refused.. It just depends who you get on the line. Try calling them again. Your ca will have the vin no for sure..

Order Feb 8, start production Feb 26, paint shop March 5, assembly March 6, scheduled to be finished March 6. Wonder how long it takes to get it on a transport truck?

My build has the same order and purchase dates... by chance did you order a diesel? It appears that diesels were being built the week of 2/26.

I'm with you on this. Production began 2/26, was in the paint shop 3/4, and completed yesterday, awaiting release to carrier.

When I called yesterday, my build will be done 3/7 that started production in 2/26 as well. I will have to wait another 2.5 weeks for PCD. It is going to be good with the new diesel engine... can't wait.

Just had an update from my dealer to tell me that mine will be delivered on 27th JULY (worst case apparently) Admittedly my order had only been on the system for a week though it seems an awful long time to wait! Do you have production number / vin yet?

Hi.
No, no VIN/production number until it goes into production - that's what my dealer says......very frustrating. Should know end of this month.

What a pain in the *rse, I can't understand why we in the UK seem to suffer huge delays from placing our order to the car actually going into production! Here's a quote from a post below:

Saggo, You should be happy in the UK. Ordered mine on March 5 at lease company appointed (Belgian) dealer and they told me that delivery is planned for Jan 15, 2015 ! No more free allocations this year. Can't believe I have to wait almost a year for a new X5. Allocations are not fair to me

Fully agree with Saggo on UK delivery.

Ordered mine mid Jan and being told 5/30 for delivery to dealer. Mind you, they've also confirmed Driver assist will be on it.

Glad I'm not in Belgium. What is you ordered through German dealer?

I think if your actual build is April onwards you'll get the new standard spec.

That's unbelievable...I assume that the US dealers are given far more 'allocations' than the rest of the world then? - doesn't seem to be a problem there does it?

Couldn't agree more with saggo. I ordered 1st week of feb and expecting delivery end of May.

My dealer is saying for orders going in now they're quoting July/Aug as earliest deliveries.

Can't order in Germany. Have to stick with dealer appointed by lease company and can't switch lease company either. Company car, company policies. Not that I'm complaining, just does not seem fair.
