20" black gloss 491: opinions?
Ordered my sapphire black with 20" black rims.
I have not heard many people who went with this option. Just wondering if anyone has pics of them, or should I have gotten the silver 20" |

When I began speccing my 50i I wanted the black rims but they are not available from the USA site builder, but they did have them as accessories for a lot of $$$. So I decided to just get the standard 20" Ms that come with the M Sport line.

my neighbor has those 215s on his X6, Barcelona. They look cool. I prefer the 491s, but I don't like that the front are 19" and the back 20", I would definitely prefer a 21" option in the 491 style. But now I really want the 21" 310 M wheels which will require me to find a small buried treasure.

Gotcha, on the usa accessories page for the 491s it is Pirelli Scorpion Ice+Snow r-f. Front: 275/40R20 106V. Rim Size 9x19. Rear: 315/35R20 110V. Rim Size 11x20.

The 491s are pretty cool. Ive seen them on a space gray 50i and they looked really good. I wanted to get get a set for my second set of wheels but apparently the winter package that they show on the BMW USA site isn't actually available in the USA or Canada and they wanted too much for them for wheels only. I decided to order a set of gloss black 21s from a third party in the end and will pit winters on my stock msport 20s

Ordered a set of forged 21s from Velos Designwerks. The solo V. They had a really good black Friday special that I couldn't say no to! They are expensive but all forged wheels are.

Also, the Can price guide 10-21-13 state: F: 20X10.0 275/40 R20 R 20X11.0 315/35 R20 The option 491 for the VIN/build, should have same configuration both US & Canada. I think one is wrong, if so, probably the US one ( odd to have F & R different). Last edited by barcelona; 12-08-2013 at 04:03 AM.. Reason: Humour: Unless they are mix& match as a result of the wheel shortages for the 20". So 1/2 th cars will get 20's. |

Does anyone know what "Mixed tires" mean? Does it mean I have All Seasons tires from various brands? Or summer performance from various brands?
Check out the options in my attachment for style 491, which is different from style 451 perf RFT. |

Mixed means front size is different than rear tires (front smaller, rear wider/lower).
