X5 50i with 40k. Need tire options please.

Hello all
I have a 2015 X5 50i with staggered tires. We put 10k on it after we bought it used and I found that the out side of the front tires are bald. It tracks down the road great so is this normal for these wide tires? What has been the best A/S tire for these? Any and all help is appreciated.

Uneven wear is common on these car.
Many people enjoy the Conti DWS for an all-season option, but first we need to know what rims you are rolling on and your current sized tires in the staggered configuration.

275/40R20 and 315/35R20
Do I spend the 1100 on DWS06 or go with something like the Toyo tires for a few hundred less knowing that the fronts will wear funny?

These X5's with the staggered 20's eat through all tires faster than you're probably accustomed to. Still they should last 20, maybe 25K miles depending on how you drive - I don't think saving a few hundred dollars for lesser tires is worth it over the life of 20K driving miles, but that's just me.

Make sure you get alignment done after new tires are installed, that's obviously key to prolonging their life. And maybe even have the aligned done 10 or 15K miles later, that could extend their life further and is less $ than 4 new tires in OEM 20" sizes.

Yes, that's a very popular tire in the X5 community!

Please search this in the future. I'm not going to tell you what tire to get. There's many threads discussing this with lot of people who put in a lot of time discussing this. Just spend a few minutes and read through it.

And uneven wear on the "outside" of the tire is NOT normal. Your alignment was out. You should be having the truck aligned 2x a year but can get away with 1 to mitigate this. The tires should wear unevenly on the inside if anything do to "sport" camber.
