Quick update: Have put several hundred more miles on the tires and I continue to be impressed. They have remained quiet so far and handling has been great. Noticeably stiffer sidewall than the DWS06 which is a nice improvement for cornering and I don't notice any mid corner squirm or bounciness. The ride is quite comfortable overall and I don't notice any harshness on rough roads or bumps.

Currently rolling on stock 19's but would like to upgrade to 22"s with 275/315 setup. I know you said there's only 1mm overall diameter difference but will my mpg and/or acceleration suffer? I'm assuming you had factory 19"s and upgraded to 22"s so you might remember the impact.

No, I had the 469m 20”. My 22” wheel and tire combo are about the same weight as the 20”. I have not noticed any decrease in mileage or acceleration. That will vary depending on the wheels you choose and their corresponding weight.

Stock wheels are usually over engineered and very heavy compared to aftermarket. Plus RF tires are heavier than non RF tires.

If weight is a concern, get flow formed, flow forged, or monoblock forged wheels.

All good points. I’d also at minimum get a set of 22s that are low pressure cast. The really cheap replica and aftermarket wheels are usually gravity cast which usually means higher weight and less strength/durability.

No spacers. Wanted to avoid using them so went with an aggressive offset on the wheels.

Yes of course, weight will impact this the most. Like others have said at least the non runflats will be lighter so might help offset. I'll have to look more into the weight of the wheels I'm considering. Anyone know off the top of their head the weight of the factory xline 19's?

A little advice

CeeTeex5
My wife got a new 35D and I would like to put 22" wheels 9 front 10.5 rear. After looking around on the site for a while it seems that you have a good grasp on the back spacing needed to fit and also look good. I have been looking at the Niche Verona m150 wheel and would like to know what you would recommend for best fitment. I agree with your requirements for the tires and will probably order the same tires as I like the idea of a little bit more sidewall.
Size Bolt Center Bore Offset
22x9 5x120 72.60 15
22x9 5x120 72.60 25
22x9 5x120 72.60 38
22x10.5 5x120 72.60 20
22x10.5 5x120 72.60 30
22x10.5 5x120 72.60 40

Sorry to jack thread new on the forum and can't PM yet.

Thanks for any info.

Sorry to chime in but those won't fit. The center bore for the F15 is 74.1. Those wheels are 72.60. You'd have to have a wheel shop machine the center bore on the wheels to make them fit.

Hey Jason, no worries. I would personally go with the following if you want to stay with staggered setup:

Front: 22x9; Offset: 25 (this will be slightly less aggressive than mine but you won't have to worry about the tiny bit of poke on my setup). You can also always run a 5mm spacer up front too if you feel the front is not aggressive enough with the 25 offset.
Rear: 22x10.5; Offset 20

You could also get away with running the 22x10.5 as a square setup with the 30 offset.

You do need to ensure they have center bore in 74.1 or can bore those 72.6 centers to 74.1. They will not fit otherwise.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick replys. Don't really want to mess with the center bore. Second option is the Dub s121 what do you think of the following fitment.

At about 1400 miles on the tires and 300 done in one day yesterday, I'm still very happy with these tires. We've had some wild spring weather in the last couple weeks including some very heavy rain. Standing water on the highway wasn't a problem and noticed no obvious hydroplaning at highway speeds. I was a bit surprised as I was expecting some level of hydroplaning.

Yesterday I drove 300 miles round trip with about 80% highway miles at speeds at 70+ for extended periods of time. The tires were quiet and the ride felt great. No harshness, weird vibrations or noise.

Agreed. Very happy with mine as well. Will be getting these for the wife's Fpace S when they come due.

I guess at 22s, there aren't any brand names to compare against.. The assymetricos have been discontinued and they were all seasons.
I was debating Lexani when I was looking for wheels, but I found 215s and went with those instead.
I know you said you don't drive much, so we can't really tell how fast they wear, or if they become very noisy as they wear.

Ha. I just bought a 2016 X5 50i and it has them on the 22"'s. Sounds like I will be going summer tires once I need to replace. I only have 18k miles and don't drive much so have a few years...maybe something else will hit the market
