So the biggest question of all... cargo net or no cargo net...?

Answer.... cargo net! It was inside the left boot cubby under the medical kit.

Pics below. Overall happy with it since it was an order to spec and managed to get 0% too. However I'd have really liked the new interior. It's a bit of a poor mans interior compared to the g30 in look and feel as well as tech. Tech wise first impressions I think there's some key things that don't seem to work:

1) the cruise control and speed limit detection aren't linked. In the g30 it suggests the new speed and one touch on the toggle sets the detected speed. Doesn't seem to happen in the f15.
2) the leg swipe doesn't seem to open the boot/trunk although I have comfort access.
3) handbrake doesn't automatically turn off.
4) there's a separate traffic jam assist button - when I press it it says it only works on a motorway - what is that? The auto cruise seems to work fine on normal roads - drops to a stop behind a followed car...?

Well, you are surprised to see that Gxx model has newer tehnology than Fxx model, that's on you mate...
2) AFAIK, this has never worked on F15, officially because of the split tailgate. The next G05 has it though.
4) Traffic Jam Assist is taking over the control of the steering wheel, maintaining the car in the centre of the traffic line. By default works only on highways, but it can be coded to work on any road. That is on top of the active cruise control.

Woohoo!!! Cargo net!!!

Meant woohoo!!! New car!!!! Really pleased with how it looks as that’s my colour. Only a few days to go... Can’t wait and seeing your pics gets me all excited!

Are you going to run it in as recommended in the manual? And be interested to hear your first impressions with the driving...

Yes will run it in gently but tbh it's never going to perform like a saloon/sedan despite what people in this forum make out

Thanks for the responses guys - useful info in there.

Also for the record I'm not 'surprised' at the inferior tech etc per se - knew what I was getting into. Just didn't get to play with the cruise control and speed recognition in the f15 so didn't clock all the differences.

And if there wasn’t a newer version out then this would be the dog’s and nobody would say anything. That’s always going to be a problem with anything in life. I’ve learnt to enjoy what I have, not wish for something I haven’t when it’s unrealistic. In a couple of years? Maybe...

I’m moving from an E90. ‘Nuff said!

You'll love it I'm sure. I've never wanted the ride height of an suv but it's quite nice to drive.

All in all we know what we bought here - it's the only 7 seater still on the bmw sheet and that was a big factor for us. The 0% added to that was a no brainer...

That my friend, is the bottom line.

I could have bought an Audi, or Volvo, or Porsche or whatever and I could’ve waited for next year’s model, but I like BMW, I want one now and the 0% finance...? A no brainier and I’m chuffed to bits, or will be when I actually get it!

So looking forward to getting my car on Thursday..... to get a phone call saying it’s delayed a week in Thorne(?) at Southampton along with 40 of the dealer’s cars and about a thousand in total. Some cock up with the delivery company....

Not a happy boy. Took day annual leave to get it. They’re going to offer me compensation... but it’s bloody frustrating! Particularly as I’ve now seen yours!

I want my new car!!!

Ouch. Frustrating as hell I bet. But compensation is good. Are you sorted with your current car?

Congrats on the new ride!

I ditched the cargo net completely and bought the official BMW rubber mat for the boot space as I never use my third row seating! Much better as it protects the carpet...

Indeed, but the mat is sufficient for me and I like the ease of just taking it out and leaving it at home if I ever need the third row...

Yes I got the bmw mat too. It's not a perfect fit but I love the non slip of it. Like you say the time I need to use the third row I'll stick it (and the luggage compartment separating net rod thingy) in the garage.

The floor net comes with the car however how much is the cargo net?
Also have the rubber mat for the trunk and works a treat - never use the floor net!

Lovely car mate - I also jumped in on the 0% deals but on a stock car as opposed to a factory order.

Collect mine next Thursday and will look out for that cargo net now I've come across this post

You mean the separating net - it had to be a factory order - £160 I think.

Not sure you can still get a factory order. It comes as standard on some tourings etc so not sure what they'll do on the g05
