I'd love to, but the X6 is my year round daily driver. I need something for the snow.

I'm in the same boat thinking of the next color....Have DG with Aragon Brown interior (LOVE this combo) but I'm bored with the DG and was thinking of Black, only because I have as you described Black Envy. I'll probably hate it once I get it tho! So I saw an M2 in LBB and am re-intrigued. Decisions decisions. Oh and sometimes I let me husband drive it, only because he has daily-driver envy
Isn't the new M production coming out August/Sept 2019? Because if it isn't I might elect to get a new current production one vs. buying out at lease end to get me over until the next MY comes out....l |

Driving in and around the 5 boroughs of NYC during the winter, all wheel drive is just not enough to navigate these streets. Higher ground clearance is needed to deal with the potholes and cracking pavement. People joke about the "off road" capability of most luxurious SUVs, but those capabilities are often beneficial in areas such as these. No need to hit any trails to get your money's worth out of these SAVs... Just drive around any highly populated metropolitan area during the winter months and you will understand the thought process we share.

Yes - Exactly. Samurai hit the nail on the head. I need the ground clearance. We've been getting hammered lately. I need to be able to get to work regardless of the weather. Whether it be fresh snow before the plows hit the road, or more often after the plows hit the road and block your driveway after you dug the damn thing out multiple times. It's a pleasure being able to just blow through. The M5 is just too low to the ground.

I keep flip flopping. I decide I'm going DG, I'm too freakin old to be driving LBB and then I look at the picture I took of the LBB M2 and say screw it, what do I care. Then I think I get enough attention in the Black and the LBB screams pull me over and I'm back to DG. You're a better woman that I am. The only time my hubby drives the M is if we're out and I decide to have a drink. He's my DD. If it's planned we take his car. |

Good morning boys and girls.
So - the '19 X6M builds are on the website. I was playing around this morning and I'm back to LBB. Thinking I will black out kidney grills and side vents again - I hate the chrome. I'm also really liking the black 612M wheels but I've never had 21s. The potholes can be treacherous. As much as I pay attention to the roads and sear the location of said potholes in my memory to dodge them, sometimes you just can't avoid one. Am I going to be popping tires like crazy? I do have my 20" square set up for winter. Thoughts? |

I keep my 22" wheels on all year round and haven't bent a wheel in almost 10 years now. (Last time was on the Cross Bronx at night back in 2010 in my '09 X6) Congratulations on the incoming new toy!! I'm still drastically torn between extending my lease for the 2020 or just going in on '19 X6M. Such a difficult choice to make without seeing an at least cammo'd version of the next generation of one of my favorite cars on the road.

If you extend for the 2020, it won't get you to the M, will it? Don't they usually come out the 2nd year, so no M until 2021. |

The M usually doesn't become available until after the initial model year debut has passed. The X5/X6 is a bit unique in this situation however, since the 2019 X5 is the G05, which means the X5M will most likely be available in a 2020 allocation. Does that mean the X6M will be available in 2020 as well, or will it wait til 2021 to show face...?

I have 21s in NYC and they are fine. I also have a winter 19s square set up. Highly recommend getting wheel and tire insurance anyway.

Talk me off the cliff...
Production is scheduled for the week of Sept 24th. I'm getting nervous about the LBB. It is so out of character for me. Every vehicle I've had going back 30 years has been either black or some shade of grey. DG would be next in the rotation.
So, please tell me how much you love your LBB, and how you don't get tired of it. Thank you for listening to me whine. |

Me personally, I try to move through the shadows, so having that color for a DD would be to much for my taste. Awesome color for a weekend toy, but a bit too much attention for me as a DD. If you want constant attention, the LBB would work well for you. If you prefer to be incognito, the DG would be the more practical choice.
