X5M between boring and civilized - Part Removal

Just traded in my 2015 X5M for a 2019 M5. So I had to take the parts off for the dealer to sell it as Certified Pre Owned.

So interesting that after you drive the vehicle for 1-2 years with FI Catless dp, FI exhaust, ECU Tune, Dinan CAI, going back to factory spec is big change. The best way to sum it up is that it became "civilized". Having these parts on really made the X5M feel like a rocket, and sound like a Ferrari. (as i was told by many).

I can't believe how the parts made the vehicle so much more fun, and untouchable by most other vehicles.

I will post the used parts in Classified shortly.

Is there a way to post a video on here easily to hear the sound and giggle of passengers getting a ride for the first time?

Production for '19s hasn't even started yet. Did you give them your X5M 2-3 months before getting the M5?

You are correct. Supposedly June they are taking orders and July they start production. Planning for Sept/Oct delivery.

Damn... news to me... From what I've read Ferrari Engineers have always had an aversion to turbos and placing them in their vehicles. Time to go check out a 488 and see what it is all about.

Yeah, the California moved to turbos as well. Basically, every manufacturer is moving they way due to emission standards. Hybrid technology is coming down the pipeline as well.

It's the engine they put in the two new Alfa Romeo Quadrifolio (Guilia and Stelvio) or however you spell it. Well the same minus 2 cylinders! Hence the fastest sedan on the road. Alfa couldn't do that on their own. lol

Indeed but it is not a current production model and it isn't something most people who know the exhaust note of... either way I have not heard an X5M that sounds like a Ferrari.
