My wife wants to put the Amazon dot thing In our truck, it is my18 with hud and car play I am trying to find a way to not have that thing in my truck. She wants to be able to ask Alexa to play songs or albums off Amazon music. I tried the connected drive store but can't connect and searched and saw that allot can't get it to work,I never got it to work on my 3 series either but was hoping someone had a way of doing this?

What's wrong with Siri and Apple Music? None of the Amazon gadgets are officially supported as of now.

I found other threads and links saying that supports Alexa but only thing I could find was telling Alexa to ventilate car.i have note 8s now so not sure siri is option if it is I will just use Apple music I didn't think I could.

I said Siri and Apple Music because you mentioned Car Play... so I thought you use an iPhone.

I had it in my Ford Focus. It can work on any car. I used the Echo Dot. Power it with USB port or Cigarette lighter with the USB adapter. Use personal hotspot on your phone for wifi. It will definitely drain your phone data fast but if you have unlimited, no worries.

What he said. Just power it, provide internet connection, HIDE it, and connect 3.5mm jack to the audio input in the center console. Boom. But yes Alexa itself is not supported in the car. But you can tell her to start your car and things like that from your house according to BMW app within Alexa.
