It is at the local Stuttgart Depot.

dont forget there may be a few things that have to be installed etc etc. I mean it is very likely your car will just sit a few days, but they have to add leeway in there...

what's the alternative? shorter time, and possibly needing to call you to delay?

Wow.

When I identified that my X5 had been offloaded from the truck late in the day on a Friday, I called my salesman and he lined up the people such that I had it ready for delivery on late-afternoon the very next day. That's less than 24 hours for me, so it can be done if your salesman is being an advocate for you.

Hello all. First, I have to say that that the Bimmerpost forum is incredible! I actually find that I spend more time here than any other website or social media. Ever since I placed my order (back in July) I have been reading this forum almost daily. I have learned so much over the past 6 months! I'm a long time Porsche owner (1986 944 Turbo) and avid car enthusiast, and I think we must have the best community/forum of any make/model, period

I'd like to thank for @R33 (for the E-NET coding cable) and
@Opasha (for coding info/downloads).

I purchased my X5 through Bavaria Motor Cars (BMW Military Sales) in Kaiserslautern, Germany as soon as the 2015's were available for order back in July with the plan to take delivery at BMW Welt (World). The time is finally here and my girlfriend and I head to Munich this evening to wake up tomorrow and head to BMW for the pick up experience (Museum, Tour, Acceptance). Super stoked!

My build:

2015 BMW X35d
- M Sport ZMM (the only option in my mind)
- Mineral White (I'm not even a white car person, but I think the body lines pop the most in white and the first time I saw MW, I fell in love w/ it)
- 20" M Light alloy wheels style 469M (and maybe someday upgrade to 21's)
- Harman Kardon surround sound system (because stereo/audio is so important!)
- Driver Assistance Package ZDA
- Driver Assistance Plus ZDB
- Luxury Seating Package ZLS (not sure how much I'll appreciate the ventilated seats, but everything I've ready about the multi-contour seats on the forums has been extremely positive)
- Premium Package ZPP
- High Gloss Roof Rails 3MC
- Badge Deletion 320 (so much cleaner/sportier/meaner without badging)
- Space-Saver Spare 300 (because I'll probably ditch the run flats when the factory tires burn through)

I see that @Prozak76 is in the Stuttgart area as well and is taking delivery shortly too. @Prozak76, congrats and where did you purchase your X5?

I figure it's a long shot, but anyone else out there going to be picking up a Bimmer at BMW Welt tomorrow (Saturday)? Would be cool to say hi to a fellow Bimmerpost enthusiast!

I purchased mine through Cars Intl' in Stuttgart. I was told BMW Welt delivery was no longer available from that "Dealership". I will take delivery on the 10th. I will be very interested in seeing your M Sport. We liked the Luxury Line but with all of the options you have and a few others. Enjoy your time at the Welt. That place is awesome!!!!

Got my chassis number for my X6 M50d yesterday so I think it has been built. Now has to make its way to the UK for mid Jan delivery. Of to Masstricht Saturady for the Dutch launch.

I am going to ask the dealer if they can swap the 450 type rims for the 449 type rims. I liked them better, but I didn't like the trim on the x-line. I would jump to the 20" as they look great but I am sure they won't work where I live in the woods of New England.

The M was nice but didn't like the dark headliner and I didn't feel like shelling out another 3k; the M suspension is what tempted me though as the roads in my area are not good. I also skipped the multi-contour seats as it didn't seem like a big difference to me. I also had a last minute fling with Terra Dakota seats. These may be my regrets. Too many choices, what a high-class problem!

Will post photos when she comes home.

Dealer won't swap wheels. 20s are tempting but the roads here suck.

Vehicle arrived at the dealer today!!!! That was pretty quick. Ordered it on November 1st and arrived at the dealer today, December 5th. I'm also running into the no weekend delivery issue. Waiting until Monday afternoon to pick it up. Very excited to be moving from my current Impala to an X5.

For anyone who's purchased a US/North American BMW variant and is living in Europe (probably only Military Sales folks) did you get European maps? I opted for Euro maps because I have 2 years left in Germany and didn't want to have an inop navi for my remaining time here, but was disappointed when I took European Delivery at BMW Welt this weekend (awesome experience btw), and was told that I have to use a USB drive (which takes up my only USB port under the arm rest, main issue) for the maps to work. I was under the impression they would be loaded on the HD. Not cool! Am going to ask my Military Sales dealer about it, but thought I would ask on here as well.

I also opted for the European Maps as well. I STILL have not taken delivery as of today and hope this is not the case as well. IF this is the way it has be, I will be disappointed for the same reasons.

The car just arrived at the dealership so it should be ready to deliver anytime. I am deployed so the wife is taking care of this at this point. We were just told last week the same info in regards to the European maps and having to use the only USB input as well. Needless to say, if that is the case, I am less than satisfied with the way that turned out. We were told they could take the US maps of and they would install the European maps for delivery. We would have to pay to have the US maps reinstalled upon returning to the US which I am fine with. Has anyone had any experience with using the maps via thumb drive?
Prozak76, congrats. Did you end up having to go with maps via USB?
