Im coming in to 100k and I haven't change the brake pads , still good bit I start feeling that is getting closer to the end . my question is if I can get the brake kit from a X6M same year and fit my X6 IS . any recommendations appreciated .

BMW does not sell the X5M/X6M brake setup as a 'kit' - you'd have to piece it all together individually. It can be done, but would be super expensive (especially if buying new). If you're looking for a pre-assembled kit, BMW does offer the M Performance brake kit, which is close to what comes on the ///M models. Rotors are blanks instead of cross drilled on the X5M/X6M, and the front calipers are 4 piston vs. 6 on the X5M/X6M (your current setup is a single piston front caliper), otherwise I believe they're identical after that.

Lots of info here if you search too. If you're mechanically inclined and like projects, you could piece something together on your own for a lot less than buying the 'kit.'

It might be cheaper and easier to go this route:

There are several listings for used F85/F86 X5M/X6M brakes on eBay. I bought brakes from a 2017 F85 X5M and put them on my 2016 F15
