5 series seats available?

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased an M550 and was wondering...
Is there any year X5/model X5 that came with the same seats this car came with? These seats are really nice and I wanted to see if I could source them but I'm not sure if it was even an option?

Those are multi contour/comfort seats. Yes, the X5 comes with an option for a multi-contour/comfort seat...but it may not look exactly like the 5 series seat (seat stitching/pattern/etc)...but the 20-22 way operation is the same. They have 2-way upper articulating back, 4-way lumbar support, 2-way side bolster adjustment, 2-way headrest, 10-way seat adjustment, and 2-way thigh support. Then there are also addtional seat options like heat, active-ventilation, and active massage.

These seats have approx 20-22 adjustable movements...and are the upgraded seat option on all BMW 5/6/7/X5/X6/X7 vehicles. Probably the 1/2/3/4/x1/x2/x3/x4 models, too...but I don't really follow the BMWs that are lower than 5 in their nomenclature.

You didn't say which X5 generation...but here's the F15 comfort seat switch that has the 22 adjustments:

And here's the same comfort seat switch from the G05 X5 (see #3 in illustration below):

Thanks for that update Qsilver7,

My current F15 X5 has these seats and they just don't feel as comfortable to me. That's why I was asking if there were a different option or if newer models came with a different seat but that makes sense. Thank you for the information!

You may not know but could these seats from the 5 series sedan be put into the X5? Again, just curious.

They prolly could be out in but the height adjustment may not be sufficient without porting over the rails etc.

If you have Dakota Leather like I do, It’s the Leather Quality and not the physical seats.
