Roof Rails

Finally, i was able to add my vehicle to my profile so that I can track it.

Looking at the details,

M Sport

High-gloss Roof Rails
Roof rails in Satin Aluminum
Aerodynamic kit
Shadowline exterior trim
Sport automatic transmission with shift paddles
Anthracite headliner
M steering wheel
Sport seats
Multi-contour seats
Adaptive M Suspension

It states both "High-gloss Roof Rails" & "Roof rails in Satin Aluminum" under M Sport.

I was told by the dealer that I will be getting black ones by default and that's what I told them when I ordered the car. Did anyone face this similar issue?

I think he is probably correct in saying that the default is high gloss which is black. I know when we did my build, we didn't specify roof rails, and when he printed out the build, it had the high gloss listed. X50i M sport. I don't know why you would have both listed like that. But I would be cautiously optimistic that you will get high gloss black.

That's probably just the description of the package and not directly what your car is spec'd for. If you look at the ordering guide it says black rails are the default for the Sport Package but you can choose satin if you prefer.

What did you use to find your car online? VIN or Prod #? Mine is in production but still doesn't come up on website.

When I ordered mine, the online system showed both. The order confirmation orifginally showed satin and I wanted black. I made that notation to my CA, and they came in black. Don't trust what is on hue he web page as it's likely just he generic package contents.

Make sure your CA knows what you want and you have that in writing/email. Then if it's wrong when you show up to pick it up you have documentation as to what you wanted.

In the end, don't stress over it..it'll likely be right.

I would not put much stock in the tracker for options. The tracker is notoriously wrong. Go off your build sheet because that is what you WILL get . My tracker was wrong the entire time I tracked both x5's I ordered yet they showed up at the dealer exactly how my build sheet stated

I used my production # to add it to my profile. I used VIN and locked out 2 of my accounts. When I spoke with 800#, they told me not to add using VIN, use only production #. You will be able to add it to your profile once production completes.

I have my comments in writing and CA is aware of it.

By the way, it also shows my seating as comfort seats and below it says Multicontour.
