Coded emergency braking flashing

I had the emergency braking feature coded. It works from what people tell me when I aggressively stop but I get an error in idrive when it occurs and then goes away. Doesn't repeat until I hit the brakes hard again. See attached. Any thoughts of why it would work but throw this alert?

Are you sure that your lights are compatible with that feature?

It's a feature that is enabled in Europe & UK isn't it, and from what I remember from a posting by either r33 or wdimagineer the light units fitted to the rear of the F15 differ completely when comparing US with European versions, the wiring looms are completely different.

Maybe it just isn't compatible with the light units you have in the US. To me it sounds like the newly coded feature is trying to do something or use something that isn't present on your vehicle.

That sounds right.. Strange thing is that it does flash the rear lights.

NPickles is correct. US cars have different wiring and bulb activation in the taillights for various functions. The car is trying to activate the flashing lights on a dead circuit hence the error. Code it back to defaults.
