Odd behavior in nav system
Hi all. Newbie here. Received my MY2015 X5 3 weeks ago, love it so far.
But I am noticing an odd behavior with the navigation that I am hoping someone can explain. After I reached the destination using the nav guidance, if I continue to drive away (ie. dropping daughter off for practice), the HUD begins to show a large arrow pointing towards the direction of the last destination (but it doesn't try to guide me anymore). This arrow on the HUD won't go away unless I start a new guidance and then stop it. Has anyone seen this behavior? Thanks, Mike |

Yes, and it's a damn irritating issue. You can try to end the Navigation "just before" you reach your destination, but even then, at times, the stupid arrow still points "post arrival". It's not just on the F15 NBT system, it's also found on the CIC systems in my F02 & F13 as well.... the only fix I know of is the one you've employed thus far.

that's what happens to me too. as wobbles said, I just stop navigation when I reach destination. I will see if there is a way to disable this in coding.

Ok. Thank you both. Good to know it is not just on my X5.
It is annoying and strange why it works that way. It would be nice if it can be disabled thru coding. |

I got tired of messing with the nav when it did happen; doing a power cycle was less annoying. That usually worked for my 'steering wheel won't descend' problem too. |
