F16 X6 Front Splitters (?)

Hey Guys, so I have a 2015 X6 35i M Sport order in, Black Sapphire Metallic over Coral Red.

I have a question about this:


Those two silver bits in front don't appear on any of the visualizers online - are they an aftermarket (BMW) part, or were they dropped and just never went into production?

I think they are M50d specific, you might be able to add them later

Yep, that is most likely the case. All you have to do is go online after the F16 is released and look for the part number under the M50D on realoem.com

@zsx_m, PM me the last 7 of your VIN once you have it. Let me do the research. Maybe I can get them for you. Of course it would be OEM parts.

Your source can't order it or can't order it in general from anywhere?

If you guys email getbmwparts, they can get almost any OEM part from wherever. I asked them about the illuminated door sills, and they cost about $240 to order them from Germany. That's why I decided to do my custom ones for $150.

BMWNA doesn't allow to order.
Some maybe can get it if they parallel import it from Germany.

Excellent, will do. I contacted getbmwparts and they were unable to figure out what the piece is, hopefully time will tell.

Yeah, that's because the F16 hasn't officially shown up yet on realoem.com so no one has info on the parts yet.

M50D specific was the correct answer, check out the M50D visualizer on the UK site here, they do not appear on any of the other models on that configurator.

I'm aware of that. The splitters all come from the M50D models. The same is the case for the F15. The F16 is not on realoem.com. This is where you find part numbers and search for them to see if they are available online . If you scroll this list, you'll understand better: http://realoem.com/bmw/select.do

Thanks for the info. I hadn't realised that my F16 M50d would have these over the M Sport.
