Had the same thing happen to me in downtown Chicago... the yellow was extremely short if I braked that hard I felt I would have been possibly rear ended. Cost me $100. The yellow was it seemed about half as long as here in the burbs where I usually drive. Yellow light length should be standardized everywhere...

LOL! I think he was clarifying that he got a ticket not too long ago, as opposed to recommending that you change the title from Wife to Ticket.

no joke, it's literally highway robbery...fines increased from $400 to $550

you can do the math, but one camera issued out 1555 tickets in June 2015...

^^ The detector is $400 - $500 and it will alert you when you are approaching red / traffic light cameras....

We fought these stop light cameras in MN and won... If it doesn't show a clear picture of the driver and a licensed peace officer doesn't issue the ticket, it is illegal.

Really no need in fighting them (in Maryland anyway) because the pictures are so obvious and when you go online to pay the fine there is a close up picture of the license plate as well as a video.

...in that location in MN, sure I believe it. Each township or city will write its own law regarding what is a valid ticket or not. But not here in Millbrae, CA. As it stands today, it's $500 for a red light violation + points. (They had to issue points b/c if they don't, their argument for "safety" over "profit" doesn't hold much water)

When I got my ticket, I wrote in to the city's chamber of commerce (local business special interest group). I basically told them that the fine amount is heavy handed and that so long as they continue to issue such a fine, I will never dine/shop in the city ever again. To proved the point, I showed that a cell-phone ticket in CA is more than half the fine, and that distracted driving is more dangerous than running a red light on a right turn.

A few members replied and noted that my frustration was reviewed with no comment/opinion. If enough victims do the same thing, then I'm sure there will be some action on the mayor/city council.

I thought there was a new law where the cameras are not allowed to take pics and ticket people? Might just be in NJ then.. smh... Those cameras were REALLY annoying!

Download WAZE app that works as well... Will also tell you when cops are around. I use it all the time when traveling!
