I have done lots of FDL coding but never FA/VO. I am following the steps in the intructions, but in the FA editor, when I calculate FP, I get a list of folders in the vehicle profile section, but there are no folder names like all the instructions show. I am hesitant to complete the coding if it doesn't look right.

Anyone know why I can't see the folder names?

It's not important. So long as FP Calculates with no error, FA is good to use.

All Psdzdate, for awhile, is unmapped. That is why you are not getting descriptions. If you use correct chassis, then you might get, but car does not care.

Calculate FP is a poor mans check. You can still have conflicts, as it only verifies if you have any incompatible additions.

Can anyone help me with the number of turn signal blinks? My default werte value was "00", but per the cheat sheet it says "02"

Anyways, I changed the value to "04", but I'm still only getting 3 blinks. Do I just need to increase the value?

It can no longer be coded in new firmware. BMW killed it.

3.27.1 is preferred. Newer E-Sys has issues.

Ya actually read that after I posted sorry. Any idea why it won't open for me? Haven't changed anything on my laptop. Been awhile since I've opened ESYS but wanted to do some deeper coding that BimmerCode allows and noticed the program won't open now. I'm on windows 10. I'm probably just gonna uninstall and reinstall but just wondering if this was normal

That sucks. Did BMW kill closing the side mirrors with comfort access? I'm not seeing that in the cheat sheet either.

Given BMW's coding lockdowns, where can I find the currently available coding cheat sheet?

Hard to tell from the versions I've found which is current.

Ok, so it looks like it was due to my version of esys 3.28. If Code the ECU and then try to do FDL edit it errors and requires a reboot. Need to find an earlier version of esys I guess.

So, just want to check if I did the GFHB right. I took it for a test drive and I think its working correctly.

VO code BDC_body, KAFAS, and both FLE with 5AP and 8s4 removed.
FDL edit both FLE modules with cheat codes.

Did I miss anything?

Thanks! Been so long since I last coded and it was on a F82 so its a bit different than the DIY I was referring to.

What lockdowns? Software security continues to increase, but modifying settings via VO and FDL coding still works without issue.

Assuming you used Cheat codes for F015 and applied changes to FLE's using "Code FDL," then that is correct

I was looking at coding two things, I don't see them on the cheat sheet and wondered if it was possible:

Change the direction I need to turn the I drive controller to zoom in and out of maps in navigation.
Turn on cruise control by just pressing the cruise control button, without having to press the cruise control and then press SET.

I have seen both of these features in other non-coded BMWs so I thought it might be an option.

Anyone know how to get the Apple carplay on a US spec F15 working in Europe? The dealer told me it isn't possible since my head unit has a US sim.
