Hello my coding Wizards!
I have Adaptive LED Headlights and am wanting to code the Eyebrows to On. Currently they only light up Amber with the Turn Signals. But European vehicles they light up white with DRLs. TThey may even stay on with the Parking and Driving Lights, which would be fine by me. Pleasesee attached pic for reference... I do have Bimmercode FYI.

I just noticed for the 1st time this past week when I unlocked the X at work where the vehicle was facing a wall...that the welcome lights came on and there was a line of amber light above the white light...I walked around to the front and noticed that the eyebrows were illuminated in amber. Then when I started the X and the headlights turned on...the amber light (on the wall) went away and they turned white (except for the little light at the end) which is still coded to be amber. Again, I got out to take a look and discovered something that I didn’t realize before as to how the eyebrows work. I thought they only turned amber when using them as turn indicators...but apparently they can be amber in other scenarios. But again, the difference you’re seeing could be from turning up the brightness of your corona rings If you did so with coding.

Hey guys. So I have Bimmercode which I really enjoy. Prior to getting it though, I had my X5 xDrive50i (F15) codded remotely.
I had the front amber LED side markers (2 or 3 diodes) above the Headlights coded Off. I wanted to code them back on using Bimmercode but the option is not there. Unless it's in Expert Mode? Can anyone confirm this? |

Thanks Shawn, You and few other friends here were really helpful when I coded my last BMWs, I will look for G05 coding thread, if there is any.

I have no idea on a specific G05 Coding Thread. For G05 though, you will need E-Sys Launcher 3.7 or E-SysX for FDL COding it.

No problem, I think I still have my e-Sys launcher somewhere, but I still would need to go back to square one to remember all the stuff I did to my old X5s. There is probably a fancy app out there somewhere that lets people code with credits and what not via bluetooth dongle, I liked doing it on my own with laptop.

BMW Hitch Module Coding
Hi,
I have just finished installing a BMW OEM hitch, wiring and module and just connected the battery back, I got a slew of errors of modules not working (which I have seen others post about, so not worried, + they went away. Looks like brake signal (10v to brake controller? ...10v?) is there as well as 12v to brake controller and continuity to the trailer plug for brakes and the +12v Aux to trailer plug. Side marker lights no go and stopped there as I know I need to code the new module...... I downloaded E-SYS (3.27.1) and got connected and can read ECU but not SVT, from what I read I need to do that, when I click SVT I get the "Generate SVT_Ist failed" someone else posted that but did not see a reply how to fix. Does anyone have clear and concise instructions on what I need to do to get this module coded, I see people post brief instructions with "Inject this, do that, VT this spledunk that then smakfernangle the other" and its all double dutch to me lol. Vehicle is 2014 X5 50i (and loving it with recent rear muffler delete!!) Any help, step by step instructions is MUCH appreciate, want to tow my race trailer and see how it handles with the X5 thanks! Hi all. I was trying to disable steering column retraction when turning ignition on and off (as it is driving me nuts!). I was searching for the parameters EINSTIEGSH_NG_AKTIV and EINSTIEGSH_LN_AKTIV. However, I don’t have them listed at all in my 30C0 ElectricSteeringWheelAdjust. Here is the list of what I have:
Can it still be disabled somehow? Thanks! |

Update: it helped with the steering column, but feels like disabled an active steering which is dependent on speed. Now it is easy to turn the wheel on any speed (before it was getting harder to steer with higher speed). Last edited by none64; 10-26-2020 at 02:14 PM.. |

Trailer Detected Error - When opening Trunk with Key or from Inside the car
Hi All:
I recently had trailer hitch removed along with BMW harness and wiring by a local shop. Everything went through successfully but now after 2 weeks I noticed I am getting the attached error in the dash. Any hints as to what I can do in E-SYS to resolved this issue? I am 2 hours away from the shop that did the work but have invested in a INPA cable and setting up E-Sys now on my machine, courtesy to this thread. Can any provide step by step instructions as to what I should be doing in E-SYS? Thanks! Last edited by bavaddict; 11-09-2020 at 11:33 AM.. |

A questing about esys flashing:
Planning to flashing my retrofitted 6wb cluster (out of 2016 x6, I have its vin, my x5 is 2015). The cluster is in my car for a year already, flashed the whole vehicle with ista (except the cluster), so want to flash 6wb to the same I level. So Found diy on bimmerfest, but still have some questions 1. Icom or ENET is fine? 2. Should I change the production date for tal calculation? 3. Can I use my VA? 4. Any other advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance |

Understand that for a non factory fitted ECU, its I-Step Shipment is most likely not the same as the car's I-Step Shipment. The correct I-Step Shipment is one where the ECU being flashed has HWEL in svt_soll that is Black, not Red / Blue.
