I have HUD, but honestly, I don't care for it. You can't see it with polarized sunglasses. Does anyone know if there is a way to display the current exact speed example "42" between the speedometer and tachometer if you turn HUD off. I've looked in the manual. Maybe I'm just missing it. I like to know my exact speed, not just look at the dial which is 10 mph increments w/o markers inbetween.

If you're using cruise control, it will show your exact speed.

Yes, but if You use cruise control, you already know your speed, I paid the horrible 2000e to get a digital Speedo (hud). I am so used to it with Audi andPorsche. I also love the fact you can chose your speed accurately in BMW, as VAG products are going from accurate to less accurate. I am glad I found this thread, because I was very disappointed when I first saw the instrument cluster of the f15, Nothing changed from my 1989 735i. I am still waiting for production date as there is no tire pressure option available at the moment in the factory order list, rumor says that building will start 4/2014, which would indicate some changes are happening then?? Isn't this funny when in the USA you have it mandatory!

What thread?

Tire pressure: USA (TPMS) will give PSI per wheel. Canada gets flat Tire Monitor System, CID only says tires OK, not PSI info. Ask for Special Order.

With 8TH (Speed Limit Info), it displays nicely on HUD better than looking down at Cluster that is busy. However 8th is not 100% accurate.

I have 8TH.
The option we can chose from price list i 2VB tyre pressure warning system (same as Canada?), but its ot in the factory order list at all.
What do you mean by special order? If I ask they give me one that reads psi per wheel?

Is the "all LCD cluster" really a big LCD, with virtual gauges? If so, cool. If not, I wish BMW would catch up to seemingly every other make offering them! It makes me sick to see the outlines of old-school indicators, warning lights, etc. on new BMWs. Even the all-new I3 suffers from this, with the "iPad-mini like" instrument cluster being a sham.

Yes it is all LCD with virtual gauges and different variants depending on which setting you are running.

Flat Tire Monitor for Canada, I cannot locate code, maybe buried in 838 National Version Canada. Tire Pressure Monitor(2V8) is the USA code. So looks like you get the USA version. Some posts by USA owners indicate that it shows PSI /tire. Each tire will a sensor, the tire stem will be metal and if you switch to winter tires you will need another set of sensors.

Special Order is a request for something that is not offered in your country. The fee is $400 plus option price.

If it is only 2v8 option for the delay, then you are willing to wait till April.
Would flat tire monitor, if available by default not suffice. Yes, I rather have PSI per wheel but you should have TPMS for summer and winter sets.

Hi guys

As far for europe there are also two types of cluster the one is with the shortened lcd and the other is with the full bar of lcd . The type that you get is not relevant to the HUD but is relevant to whether you choose the Speed Limit Info option which because the Navigation system is Standart its only a 300 euro option. But for america ... i really don't no. But this is whats going on in europe.Btw the Speed Limit Info is included in the Drivers Assistance Pakage so i don't think its a 2000$ extra

I hope i was helpful

It's a pity f15 won't get gauges like these (they are amazing)! Looks like this option (6WB) is only available on 7-series LCI and M Sport Edition 6-series in USA for 2014.

Kinda confused here with all of the Euro comments and such, but is the LCD panel available for the current X5 50i, or will it be available in April as on person said, or is it not available at all.

For US it's either default small LCD screen at the bottom (http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/att...1&d=1384996942) or optional wide LCD screen at the bottom - option 6WA (http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/att...1&d=1384996942).

So called Multi-Function Instrument Display (option 6WB) is not currently available for 2014 X5 (F15) in US and I haven't seen any reputable confirmation that it will be available in April 2014. I believe it might've a different shape of the cluster since I have never seen offers to retrofit F15 with it as well.
