Front license plate replacement

Hello all,

Any ideas or suggestions on what to put instead of front license plate? I moved from Illinois where front plate was required to Florida where it is not. Now i have 2 ugly holes that I need to put something over.

For some reason despite so many aftermarket parts, plate parts are very scarce.

Please provide ideas or suggestions.

What did you do with the OEM front plate bracket? I could use it. Bought a F16 from IN where its not required but live in MD where it is required.

I still have it. But I have not come up with what to do. It may still be useful.

I have my front bracket that I don't need. But shipping from Alberta would probably not make sense when you can get one locally.

Bumper Plugs as linked above work but some don't care for the look (clean but not clean enough for some).

Others just keep the bracket on and attach an "affinity plate" from their college, or favourite sports team, or car make logo, etc. literally thousands of potential options if this appeals to you at all.

I just did Bumper Plugs for all three of our cars when we moved to FL, they look fine. However, you do need to drill a larger hole than what you would expect. Plus handle them with care; aka make sure you push them in straight as to not flex them too much and crack the paint.

Black Hlilman plugs from Lowes available in a variety of sizes close the hole you already have. Take a tapered step bit (by hand) and just clean up the hole until the plug fits. Paint to match or just leave black. Much less expensive and a bit smaller than the larger bumper plugs.
