Rear Shot of M-sport with 19s and with 20s?

Trying to decide on 20s vs 19s for my m-sport. My current E70 has the 20s - and brand new Conti DWS tires.

I do like the stock 19s a lot for the M-Sport, but I'd love to see some shots of both from behind. My e70 just looks SO mean with the fat rears.

Why does this message sound so dirty? haha

Like it big and fat in the rear. Nice and juicy looking. Not to mention the performance is good too.

I like my X5's like I like my women.

Or is it I like my women like I like my X5's?

I also recommend 20's, but I have to say the DWS tread isn't as good looking as the stock tires.

Does the F15 handle better in the snow with the 20s than the E70? I never felt very surefooted in heavier snow in my E70 vs some of my other cars.

20" wheels should be standard especially on MSport!

That depends on the tires. Since the 20" factory wheels come with only summer tires you will need to get different tires for the winter.

With that said smaller, narrower tires are better for the snow/potholes. Bigger, wider tires are better for everything else!

Sorry, I meant I had Conti DWS on my E70 and still never felt super surefooted all the time.

Neither vehicle has a locking diff like even my Subaru STis did.

cant imagine going any smaller than 20s in a summer climate year round. our vehicles coming in wheel sizes 20+ have extremely wide wheels/tire combos. terrible for the snow.

if you can deal with "not as good as it could be" winter handling, go for 20s, i sure would! way more fun if you can handle it!

(I have no experience in X5s during snow seasons, correct me if i am wrong but 19s and winter tread must be superior to even a 20 with winter tread?)

I wish the factory 20's had an all season option!

The 19's are at least decent looking on the msport, but the 20's are better and I agree, should be standard on the m-sport package with an option for all season or summer tires.

I was close to doing the 20's and just getting snow tires also, but common sense won out in my case as I live in the Northeast and would need at least all seasons or snows so between the extra cost, the fact that the 20's wear out every 15k miles and biggest factor was my wife uses the car primarily and she tends to curb the wheels here and there and the 20's are machined surface, the 19's are painted, so they are much easier and cheaper to repair than the 20's - if it was my car and I drove it all the time, 20's for sure, had them on my E70 and nothing looks better from the back then those 315's on spacers!

Do NOT get the standard 19s. Those tires are an insult to these machines.

Here is a pic of my car on the standard 19s available for the M sport on the day I picked her up.

Needless to say, I put better and wider wheels on her right away.

You're running on 325s with the stock 20s? So I'm assuming 285 in the front? Do you have Michelin PSS?

I have the stock set up, 275 front and 315 rear, and wonder if going up to 285/325 is possible?

I agree. I am in the process of getting 21s to replace the 19s. I will use the 19s for winter.
