how do the tires protect the rims. What found on my 451's. The sidewall of the
tire and rim in front are almost flush. Rears seem to offer more protection.

If rub a low curb just a little, found got a scrape on the fronts of mine

The dunlops do not have the protection the bridgestones on my e70 had

Either utilize your surround view camera and mirrors or just deal with having badass looking wheels I've already curbed one wheel lol. It's just a part of having aggressive wheels.

Sometimes it unavoidable, In parking garages. Drive thru's.
Sorta the first scratch thing. Just seemed the Y-Spokes on my
E70 were a little more protected. Maybe why see so many how
to repair rim kits on the net.

Looks nice bud. Kinda looks like the E92 M3 wheels that come in the Competition Package, I believe? I was gonna suggest to powder coat them black but since you have the non M sport version, it's better to keep them as they are.

I've curbed all my wheels. At the SFO airport parking, the curbs are like two feet high and the turning radius is short. Either I hit the front curb or I hit the rear. One time, thought I got it perfect, I hit the front and rear at the same time.
