Finally pulled the trigger

So yesterday I put a deposit down on a 2016 X5 xdrive 3.5i. Premium and back up camera. Black on Black. My wife's lease is coming to an end and this will be her replacement. I originally was planning on ordering a similar car last month but then visited a landrover dealership and put everything on hold. At the end of the day I couldn't justify the premium for the range rover sport over the X5 and I honestly thought the X5 drove better. I was really impressed with the XC90 but my wife warned me that the day I bring her home a Volvo is the day that I will permanently be sleeping in my Porsche. So the X5 it is!!! Happy wife = Happy life. I'm picking up the car next week. Ill post pictures once its in our possession.

On a side note, I have had issues with BMW over the last several years but at the end of the day they do make an incredible car and I am happy to be staying with the brand and the community.

Congrats!!!
At first I was reading your post as the lease of your wife is coming to an end, and replacing her with a new X5.

New v. new you get more for your money on the x5 than the rrs. the L494 RRS is a let down all around unless you get it in the eight cylinder SC variant with all the bells and whistles and then you overpaid to get the vehicle should've been equipped at about $10k less. I have owned several different LR/RR products and while I love the interior of the L322 and the L320 and how peppy they are they are awful handling wise especially at 500hp+. So in the end you get a quick vehicle that can only go in a straight line with out-dated tech and a high price tag. Why buy either vehicle new?

I felt the same way with the Range Rover Sport. Beautiful car! but doesn't quite drive like the X5
