paint chipping?!?!
I was clay-barring the car last week and noticed paint chipping through the wheel well on the inside of my rear bumper, as in the photo. The chipping does not appear to wrap around to the other side (outside of the bumper) but it is not something i like to see on a vehicle no matter what.
Note: you have to turn the photo 90 degrees clockwise (or your head 90 degrees counterclockwise) to get the right angle. Has anyone else seen this? |

paint chipping inside the wheel well and underside of the bumper? you mean the area that is constantly abused by road debris? this is completely unacceptable bmw should take the vehicle back under the lemon law act and you should be compensated for your pain and anguish. this is an egregious display of hubris and negligence on bmw's part and should not be tolerated.

i can't imagine anyone else has. i would anticipate some sort of wear or signs of pitting in that general area because you have rocks, sand and other road debris being blasted at the body.
