Replaced Engine Help.

Folks, so my dealer replaced my F15's long block after they cracked the crankshaft. Before they started work, I was told it would be a new engine. Now, after the work is done they are telling me it's re-manufactured long block. I don't have confidence in the car anymore. What are my options?

Do you have a work order with detailed information about parts used? Remanufactured doesn't mean "used".

So you got part number 11002455361 which is "exchange short engine" per real oem:
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...45#11002455361
Differences between the short engine and exchange short engine was discussed here:

Generally speaking they used parts from your engine which were still good and within specs and installed it on the replacement one, but I would not worry too much about it, you did not get used engine in your car. Short block engine means the engine without the cylinder head and parts above.

Thank you folks for you inputs. Is there a way I can check if the work done was proper?

Besides visual inspection not that many things you can check, you can probably take your car to indy shop so they can look around and make sure all the covers are in place, no bolts are missing etc. I think you should be fine plus you get 2 years/unlimited miles warranty on the new engine, so just drive it like you stole it!
