One complaint about the stock hifi system is that EQ options are limited to bass and treble. One tip to get more EQ control is to use the Spotify app to play music from your phone (BT or CarPlay). The 6-band EQ settings in the app preferences (under playback) are customizable and the effect plays through to your car sound system, enabling you to boost lows, mids, and highs. Definitely helps.
