Ventilated Seats. Blow/Suck? + Massage?
Hey guys,
Just ordered a new X5 last week, waiting for it to be delivered in 2.5 months (europe). Got the full nappa mocha leather comfort seats coming with ventilation, as I live in a very hot country. Can anyone confirm if the X5 seats blow or suck air? I have a new 911, and there they suck air in. Which works pretty good. Also, I read somewhere that the comfort seats have massage features in the front. Is this really true? Can anyone tell me their experience about that? |

I ordered and received napa mocha design package, with the contrast stitching. The seats are not perforated, and therefore there is no ventilation. The option is gray/NA on the screen.
No massage. |

Have the butt massager on the X5M. Overrated anyway, money should have been put in a fund for legitimate massages :-)

The BMW ventilated seats blow a small amount of cabin air outward from the seat. And it is indeed a SMALL amount of air - almost impossible to feel - and it's cabin air, not A/C air, so not necessarily very cool. Not like Audi, for example, whose ventilated seats actually blow cold A/C air. It's purpose isn't really to cool you off but rather keep your back from from getting hot and sweaty when seated for a long period of time.
