F15 40d timing chain

Hi all new to this platform 👍🏻

Recently bought myself f15 x5 40d with around 70k

Unfortunately, I’ve now got the dreaded timing chain rattle 🙄 She is currently in the garage as we speak

Just wondering what are people doing to prevent the time in chain failure alongside regular oil changes?

The two key items I've read that seem to make sense:
  1. 5k mile oil/filter service intervals
  2. Disable auto Start-Stop ignition

Yea seen a Similar thing about Oil changes every 5K

The more I read online, I’m beginning to question the reliability of the X5 already 😅
