BMW Anti-Dazzle Lights Coding worth it?
According to a site which consumed my VIN and told me what upgrades are possible via coding, I can activate BMW Anti-Dazzle Lights. The links below seem to show the feature.
Anyone else ever get a feature activated and noticed it worked? |

UK member here who has always had this feature on my X5. I cannot comment on the difficulty or cost of coding, but can vouch for the usefulness of auto high beam with anti dazzle, especially on unlit country roads. So much so, I wouldn't spec a car without this feature. Others before you have done the hard work of determining the coding that is required - I'd recommend you take the plunge

Agree with above poster. GAME CHANGER. Best investment I have made in the vehicle and cost was relatively cheap to have remote coded. The ability to read street signs, see deer on either side of the road and just overall better visibility is SO worth it. I too would never own another car without it.

Its great feature to have especially if you are driving at night in the countryside or highways. Many F15 owners got it coded and working. Since it is a factory option being decoded in US it doesn't require any hardware changes and just pure coding. You can find information on the process here:

Thanks for sharing! I was disappointed that my F15 with the adaptive LED's only had auto high beams and not the anti-dazzle. Will code it ASAP once it's done being repaired

My 2018 has LED headlamps...
I did the coding with ESYS and it works great. Sometimes going on winding roads, it gets a little wonky when a car approaches from around a bend. Other than that, it works as advertised. I haven't had any oncoming cars flashing me with their high beams.... |

Hands down one of the best functions to have coded. Really takes full advantage of the LED lighting. I use it every chance I get.

If you have the LED headlamps already, it's a no brainer. In most situations it works flawlessly and where it has challenges (some mentions above) just don't use it - simple press of the button. Where it's not ideal, you would want high beams either most likely so it's not a downside, just a functional reality. It's meant for highway travel and not urban areas particularly. I love the feature and am amazed every time I use it how cool and functional it is. Now with the Night Vision spotlights I recently installed and enabled, I've got a killer nighttime safety machine.
