Not sure if serious... LOL.

In all honesty though the back looks good and the front and 3/4 views aren't the bad, but from the side they ruined the roofline at the end. It should have curved down more or ended earlier, otherwise I think it doesn't look that bad. I can't necessarily say its better than the E70, I like both in their own ways.

Don't think this color is particularly flattering

Wait till you see the M Performance accessories for the X5 especially the aeropacket and wheels.

The M Bumper doesn't make any sense to me. Those huge fake honeycomb sheets in the corners that are not functional just look silly... I think that's the most irritating design flaw for me.

I replaced my wife's 09 with the new GL 450. If I'm going to get a big boxy truck I might as well get a functional 3rd row. That said I still love the E70 look. Also I hate the stick on look of the Nav. Why couldn't they continue to integrate the screen into the dash.

You could easily drive right past that and mistake it either for an E70 or an X3.

The thing we are all overlooking is that its still way better looking than the awkwardly styled ML. Low competition sets low standards I suppose.

Dead serious. People always rag on the new style and 6 months later what happens....best thing since sliced bread... (there are exemptions though and not every bmw will be loved by the masses which i'm sure you know all too well)

The X5 is a high volume seller for Bmw and they won't risk losing sales by fugging up the design.

Yeah, it's ass is big and muscular, as the E70 is, that's a relief!
It shows it's best side with light colours imo, siver and white.

Yes M50d, silver wing mirrors (not the galcier silver of the body) and the shape of the fins in the front diffusers.....

I agree 100%. I just don't get it. It looks like something GM would do on their cheapest stripped down truck... just put some plasticy panel in the spot where fog lights would have been if it weren't a stripped down, bottom of the barrel model.

sounds like something they'd fix for LCI 4 years from now.

have to agree that the last, rear shot of the X5 is the best I have seen and the first one to make it look appealing.

I really like the silver air deflectors that fill in those large empty holes in the bumper on the xLine. The silver accents look good too. The M-sport is a bit plain with nothing in them.

SCOTT26, can you give us an idea when we might see these and when they will be available to buy?

Thanks.

Nice color. I'm wondering if the F15 3rd row will have more room than the E70 3rd row?
