The F85 definitely trumps the e87 but there isn't a whole lot in it!

I think they are both beautiful. How long did you need to wait from the day you ordered to the day you picked it up? I am also in Seattle and ordered a X5M from BMW Bellevue.

I had the front done 70% (30% light blocked). Not sure the brand. Was told stock is about 20% (80% light blocked)

You can hardly see the paint scrapes I made on the front quarter I did on the test drive...

I appreciate you keeping them to a minimum! Good to know even in this thing need to slow down for speed bumps.

Funny, I actually gave some thought as to whether I'd be cool with my ride having been test driven once -- but I figured that anyone who is as much an 'enthusiast' as you (especially owning a current x5m) and asking the dealer not to wash would treat it well. Especially since there was still a chance you were going to take it.

Hope I made correct call...

PS. Thanks again for posting that it was available. I was not the only one who tried to jump on it; but thankfully the first. You saved me 4-6 weeks of driving the Jeep Compass rental! Speaking of which, I canceled my order with Bob Smith BMW in calabasas -- so anyon looking for one to start production in April, hit them up to see if still available!

Yes, of course. But it is in the process of being loaded on trailer (enclosed, of course) and sent to me. When it gets here in a couple days I'll post as many pics as you guys want!

Good luck and congratulations, it is a great car. and rest assured I didn't push it. I tend to test drive like I drive day in day out, which is somewhat conservative, in order to see how I can live with a car.

Nice try. As soon as Mike released it I had it locked down -- which means Mike is the only one of you guys to have driven it.

Wouldn't it be funny if mswaz / 2-cb was the same person Congrats on the purchase!

I tinted my F15 with 25% and I feel like it is a perfect match to the factory tint.

Great Day!

Today was a great day. I took delivery of The Beast and got to put about 300 miles on it driving down the coast from Seattle to Oregon (on way to LA). There was a shipping mix up, so my wife and I decided to fly up and have a road trip on the way back. Should be one of the first through the break in period too!

All I can say is WOW. I have yet to take it above around 4.5k rpm and it briefly hit 98 mph like it was doing 50 -- this car is sick. Brakes are unbelievable!

For anyone still concerned, rest assured, Mark was right -- there is NO BEIGE/TAN to the color at all. Unbelievably beautiful in person and already gotten multiple compliments

I didn't realize that it came with a spare tire, so that was a pleasant surprise.

After many years yearning, this is my first M and man is it great. A special thanks to Mark for graciously letting the board know it was available, and Adam and Karl at Seattle BMW for fantastic customer service. Deal was extremely smooth and we had a deal with Adam literally within 5-10 minutes of getting in touch with him. Special thanks to Karl - a true enthusiast - for teaching me the things I didn't know and helping me get the car set up. This man knows his BMWs better than any sales person I've ever dealt with..

Will post pics upon getting home and will dyno after break in (likely done by next week due to road trip!).

Today was a great day that I will remember forever!

PS. Thanks to Neal @ NW Autoshield for doing a great job wrapping the car in XPel, wrapping the air breathers, and tinting the front windows. He did a fantastic job and there is a reason he does the work for Seattle BMW. Not the cheapest, but quality never is...

Fuel Economy

One more thing. I was pleasantly surprised by the mpg I was getting -- very comparable to my previous 2015 X5 50i.

Wow, congratulations on this purchase

I'm obviously a little behind on the forums - I dropped off my 50i for service today at BMW Seattle and walked across the street to the sales department hoping to get an in-person look at this X5M you bought (shoulda figured it was sold and long gone by now huh!). They said it was gone in just a few hours and they didn't have any others for viewing, so no such luck today.

They do still have their Individual Ferrari Red F80 M3…nobody would miss that car coming!
