Bimmercode?
I have a 2017 35i. I am using Bimmercode to code a few items but I am locked out from being able to code under the Headinit portion. I have emailed Bimmercode twice with no response. Any suggestions on how to access. I do have Carplay installed if that helps.

This may help...? I had the same issue but was coding a few ECUs in one "session" and got an error on the head unit. I skipped it and continued on. I then disconnected bimmercode, started the car, shut it off and reconnected. It was then able to read/write to the head unit.

Thanks, however, I have tried multiple times and still can not get into the headunit portion. I sent Bimmercode another message, hopefully I will get a response this time.

Sorry I was of no help. It was odd when I encountered it also. But I'm curious what bimmercode says, please update when you hear more.

I’ve heard in another group that bimmercode locks you out if you have CarPlay. I don’t have first hand experience but that other group says you will need to use e-sys if you have CarPlay.

Hey OP. Have you previously used a third party service to code anything (like fullscreen CarPlay) remotely? If so, that may be the reason why you cannot access the Head Unit sub-section via Bimmercode. If you're not the original owner of the car, then a previous owner may have done this.
