USAA discount

Can you tell me more about the USAA discount? I'm not a current USAA member, but my dad is a military veteran so I think I could become a member through him if it was worthwhile. Is that discount available immediately after becoming a member?

With regards to the $500 Drive Credit:

Dealer allocation status 112 available with a build-out $69,175.
Invoice price is $63,595.
Negotiated $3800 off and is shown as "AutoNation discount" in initial contract estimate.
Negotiated buy rate on Money factor at 0.00130 (locked in unless it improves)
Paid my $1000 deposit and production number assigned. (Delivery expected end of Mar)

However, no mention in my estimate of the $500 drive credit in my initial estimate. Do you think the dealer will let me have this extra if it's available at the time of delivery?

They didn't offer it to me and it's not shown in the initial contract so BMW should give this to me if it's available correct?

If a Texas dealer realized you are an Oklahoma Sooners fan I'm surprised they gave you such a good deal

But the $500 credit is from BMW, doesn't cost the dealer a penny, so they should give that to you also.

Dealt locally. For completeness sake.

Base Invoice with options: 52850
Destination: 925
Training: 180
MACO: 400
Profit: 1500
Incentive: -500
Doc fee: 130

I'm happy with it. Took ~30 min to do the deal! In Priority 1 112 status.

When a dealer has a 112 status allocation, they are more likely to offer better discount to a customer.

Dealers say this is what going on right now. anybody have any input if they have received similar quotes from dealers recently
Deal I got for my friend if I remember correctly: MSRP minus $1000 ($53,600 after $500 USAA discount) for dealer's only allocation on a 112 status build. Zero options, literally. I'm sure the deals are better now that the F15s are trickling in, he took delivery about ~3 weeks ago, build was put in about 6-7 weeks ago.

Need a little help.

My car arrived at the dealer today and I pick her up Monday afternoon. I'd like to know what most of you are seeing for a money factor and residual on a 36 month 15,000 mile lease. Also, I'm expectig to see about a $2000 discount off MSRP. Sound like that doesn't compare to what most of you are seeing. Are there any special incentives available at this time?

Thanks guys

Base money factor for Jan on an X5d at 15k miles/yr is 0.0013, residual is 57% after 36 mo. I'm not sure what other models are.

Cpiguy, in NJ I'm seeing .00130 and 57% for 15k 36 mo. $2k off MSRP plus $500 drive off is pretty good IMO? I hear some at $500 over invoice but whenever I contact those dealers I'm told it's BS.

$500 over invoice may be BS, but $1000 over is certainly not. It all depends on the situation, the dealer, and your negotiating skills.

F15 35d

I'm located in the S.F. Bay Area and I checked pricing in both Northern and Southern California. My best price was at BMW of Mountain View who negotiated $1,500 over invoice (not including MACO which is $500 around here) for whatever options I wanted to order on a 35d. 35i's seem to be in higher demand here, so I'm not sure I could have negotiated the same deal for one of those. Mountain View had a production slot in 112 status, so we finalized the options, ordered on a Tuesday and the car was in production by Friday. BMW is saying that the car will be finished with production by 3/4, so I'm hoping I'll see the car in Northern California by the end of the month.

PM me if you want our CA's name, he was very professional in the way he handled this deal, so I could definitely recommend him for a purchase. This deal was much better than what I was seeing at the other dealers in the area, but thanks to this forum, I was sure that I could negotiate closer to the $1,000 to $1,500 range. Thanks to everyone who posted your deals!

Here is what we ordered.

14XI X5 xDr35d Model
A90 Dark Graphite Metalic
LCCY Canberra Beige Dakota
ZDA Driver Assistance Package
ZDB Driver Assistance Plus
ZLP Lighting Package
ZPP Premium Package
328 Running Boards
346 Chrome Line exterior
417 Rear shades
456 Multi Contour Seats
4AC Poplar wood trim
4NB 4-zone climate
4NC 3rd row climate
4UB 3rd row seat
5AP No dazzle
688 Harman Kardon sound

Ordered in mid-February from the Internet Sales Mgr at BMW of San Fran. Got invoice + MACO + training fee + $1800. Works out to about $3000 below MSRP. Given that this is still a new model and still a bit supply-constrained, I'm happy with this deal.

Sounds like a great deal, considering we also ordered in February at BMW SF and only got $1300 under MSRP. We didn’t try very hard, though, since other dealers seemed pretty set on MSRP and our negotiating desire is not great.

Did you get an allocation yet? Waiting is the hardest part. So far, we don’t have any idea when our order will actually go into production.

Starting to rethink this. Can anyone tell me if I should cancel this order

So I placed an order for this car about 2 weeks ago but it ha not gone into production. I am in North NJ/ Manhattan area and you are lucky to find one x5 in inventory per dealer in the tri-state. Because of production delays and inventory shortages, it did not seem like I had the leverage to negotiate the price over invoice. After reading about most deals being done at 1k over invoice I am starting to think I should renegotiate the deal. Wondering if I should look for a better deal where I can offer 1k over invoice.

My numbers came out to on a 10k 36 month lease:

MSRP: $70,900
Residual: 60%
Due at signing $2500 ( includes 1st pmt, tag, tile, doc and acq fee)
$888.71 per month ( including NJ taxes )
money factor .0015

Having the same issue here in North NJ. These guys have 0 inventory an won't do deals for less than msrp.
