Still need to see the back, the front is a step forward but not too convinced about the back

Palbay...this shot looks to be out front of the Marriott in Greenville...does this mean they are using the new X5's for airport pickup on PCDs? Any idea if they will start using them for the off-road course?

about identically as akward as the E70

yeah, it's absolutely ridiculous now with the lines and the upgraded interior options. you can reasonably option a sdrive35i now into 67-70K range.

In any forum regarding the F15 X5, one of the most common complaints is in regards to the fog lights, but I fail to see a noteworthy departure from the E70.

I'm sorry, but the new X5 looks like it has Down's syndrome...

still looks like a bigger X3
imo, only the 20" wheels make F15 better looking

I don't get reactions to the price/options of the F15. Take a look at the configurator. Build an X-line and look at how much is included. I've never heard of Porsche including Nav standard... You've always been able to option them high, I had a 74k E70 in '07. But I'm comparing a '13 sport to building a '14 x drive x-line and same equipment, based on what I want, same price. I can actually get a '14 cheaper by skipping some things I didn't want on the '13 but had to get just to get a damn back up camera.
It just depends on what you want. |

Yes, The White F15 was a late cycle tester. Still had a Serial Number and the Badges and roundels were covered. Usually in years past BMW has hesitated using early series production models for Company Use. Did not want a paying customer mad because the employee/company vehicle took a production slot. That all changed with the F10 M5 and the PC. The F10 M5's were at the PC very, very early compared to the arrival of customer cars. BMW might have decided the early exposure for the car is worth a few mad paying customers. I'm sure the F15 will be put into service at the PC. I'll let you know when I see them on the rocks... Thanks. PalBay

I don't quite understand how some of you guys say the new car looks worse than the old one. Its not a radical departure from the E70 and everything just looks more modern and up to date on the F15. How can it NOT look better is beyond me.

The side profile to me looks to resemble a minivan with the slant downwards of the back end. The rear looks exactly like a X3 which I find it to be ugly with the tail lights slanting upwards. The front is just disaster for me. Following the current F series the headlights extend to the grill in a awkward way... I think the front air dam or inlet looks weird and kind of resembles the pre-LCI of the E70 which I didn't like either. The current E70 Air inlet looks much better and resembles the M Sport or ///M. I suspect the LCI F15 will have better visual enhancements. Hopefully the front will be improved! As I have mentioned before, the interior to me is much nicer though! But then again I did skip the F10 ( exterior looks and steering feel ) after having 2 E60's in the past 6+ years.. |

If you examine the side profile you will see that the geometry is different. Which gives it the minivan look at least to my eyes. And as I said looks are subjective.. what you find interesting I and others may find dull... The continuation from the headlight to the grill to me in awkward looking... |
