Coolant temp
I was driving today and noticed the oil temp slightly over 210 marker. So I checked BimmerLink and the coolant temp was 220/219 bouncing around. Never seen it this high before. I was going 65 or so, so nothing crazy. When I slowed down it dropped to 213. I’ve never seen it about 211 before. Nothing else seemed off.
I checked and it was not in an active regen either…. |

1,087*F EGT cruising at 65mph… seems high. Maybe it was in regen moments before you took the screenshot and the temps had not yet fallen back to normal. How many “miles since last regen?”

Since I started to use BimmerLink never noticed anything above 200F for coolant, engine oil or transmission oil. Let us see during summer. I certainly expect to be higher. For reference on previous 335 I used to see 250 for oil temp on a regular basis.
The regeneration takes place around 1150-1200F. Besides that engine oil temp wont go up as the temperature is generated at the DPF by injecting diesel after the combustion is finalized. The engine doesnt run hotter because regen. |
