launch control x5 50i 0-60 time
Just picked up an 2015 M sport 50i a week and a half ago, yesterday i hit the 1200 mile break in period and decided to try out launch control
Very simple for those who dont know, put in sport+, shifter in S, foot on break mash pedal, release I downloaded the Dynoliocus app for my iphone and mounted it.. People say its pretty accurate, normally about .25-.65 slower than the actual time. (read this from a test some guy did on it) Found a solid spot, on a slight incline.. and managed a 4.57 second 0-60!... not bad.. Considering theres about a .25-.65 delay I could easily be in the low 4's... This was COMPLETELY STOCK Order BMS burger tune Stage , so ill update the 0-60 and do a 1/4 mile once it arrives Also planning on trying to get downpipes and exhaust... Question for anyone who knows... I have the 19inch wheels on right now since im in NY and need them for the winter.. I was gonna order a set of 21 inch wheels running 275 front, 315 rear with Michilen Pilot Sports on them... Should this improve timing at all?... or should i go 20's UPDATE: 4.31 0-60 confirmed by GPS... BMS tune arriving Sunday, will post times after install

@thatsjustice, the wheel diameter won't effect the time as much as the tire traction quality.
I don't remember which size that have more better tires options, but I suggest you to avoid the RFT since it is usually heavier.

@r33 thanks.. what about width? with the staggered and wider setup help or hurt? ik it helps handing and skid pad but what about acceleration winces it's already an awd car with good grip

You need the lightest wheel + tire combo that gives sufficient traction

Michelin Pilot Super Sports in OEM diameter and width and heavy load, 22 and under will yield similir results, but i think 20s, although room for more, are best performance oriented, and probably find the lightest wheel/tirecombo. i think these will yield the best results. With a Portable GPS system i was able to record 4.39 on a warm Florida day and 4.1 once i had the BMS tune and GTHaus Catback exhaust. this engine has insane capabilites. thinking of turning up the tune a notch. (ps also have sprint booster for Second Go around)

X5Jouster How do you like the exhaust? looking at getting the catback as well, not the full piping.. cant justify 3k more for the non resonated pipes...
Also, I had sprint booster on my old 50i but i was told in sport + on the new f15 it essentially does the job of sprint booster because of the throttle sensitivity.. any differences found?

turbo back would be downpipes through muffler Muffler (or muffler back) is just the muffler off the center pipe, which is what you mentioned your looking for. i have the cat-back which would be everything miestercraft gthaus offers. LSP center pipe, and muffler. should be great with muffler, but that still leaves the restriction stock center pipe diameter and bends, and Center resonators... the GTHaus center pipes allows much greater flow. and sounds insane... (P.S. i guess thats Justification enough for me!)

Just got our X5 5.0 last week. Love it. Seems much stronger than the Jeep SRT I used to have. Thinking of adding a Dinan. Terrific times for a 5200 pound SUV

The x5 has never lacked traction. The larger heavier wheels will make it slower. I can honestly feel the difference in initial acceleration when I switch from my summers to winters.
