LED turn signals

I'm trying to decide on LED vs bi xenon headlights. I actually prefer the look of the bi xenon. I think they have a better shape and more classical BMW appearance. However, on my current car I absolutely love the LED turn signals for some reason. I don't really like the halogen turn signals that come with the bi xenons these days. I realize that there are aftermarket solutions to this.

I am wondering if any of you guys with either x5 or x6 with LED headlights could post a pic/video of what the LED turn signals look like.

Thanks

Paging @opasha.
On the LED headlight, the blinker is the long line eyebrow.

Own them. Love the low beams, weak high beams, front turn signal is powerful and gorgeous. All taillights are the same regardless of package and suck as they don't have amber signals (rear).

I have a review. From mobile app now. Please search: First Night Drive LED Lights Review

I have the Bi-Xenon and love my Weisslicht LEDs: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1021565. Very easy install and coding.

If you get the LED lighting, the eyebrows are legit as well. I just didn't have LED package so I did the next best thing and converted them .

They're very bright/better looking than the Halogens both when off and when lit.

These pictures don't really do it justice:

opasha I've actually seen your pics before. I also saw the videos. In fact, your solution is how I learned about the weisslicht solution.

I've searched a lot and there are only photos of the headlights, no one ever bothers to post pics of the turn signal (probably very difficult to time) or videos. I suspect this is because few people are as anal about little details like this.

Opasha I was following your thread regarding the weisllicht but for some reason can't find it now. Did you resolve the flickering issue?

I just posted the thread above, lol. Yes, the flickering is solved - it was solved from day 1 - I told everyone they need to code out the tests that are run upon each start that check for burnt bulbs. It's in the OP of that thread and in the big cheat sheet in the coding thread .

Here is the best picture I could find. I have the LED light package and the turn signals are awesome. I love the led lights all around.
The main reason I got them was for the auto high beam feature which is great.

I would definitely order them again.

Not only that, I wish they also DID NOT turn the brake lamps off when they blinked. I have no idea why would BMW make the whole taillight blink. What was wrong with E70 design that they had to join turn signals with brake lamps? It's such a bad design.

Does enabling rear DRL change this behavior?

Really??? The brake lamps turn OFF when the signal blinks? I've haven't been behind an F15 yet to see that. Only thing I can think of is that there's too much red/light intensity going on if they don't? That's where amber would've been perfect.

BTW, sorry for the crappy quality of the vid. Photobucket compresses orig vids into mp4. Trying to upload to Vimeo atm. Will fix the link when it finishes.

oh thats cool, thanks for the videos. I didn't realize its the "eyebrow" that blinks. I thought it might be that thin strip connecting the outside of the lamp to the area where the turn signal normally goes.
going to have a tough time deciding.
its a head scratcher for sure.

The LED light look great. I would consider ordering them. I am very happy I did order them.

The turn signals don't look that bright in the video. How are they in a dark setting? My e90 led signals over power just about any other signal in a row of cars at night and are crazy bright.

I ordered the weisllichtled turn signals and love them. Took two minutes to install and look fantastic. I agree they are way brighter than stock.

Make sure you code them or else they will keep flickering upon start and every time they are used.

Lol, sorry, forgot you haven't done any coding yet, and I'm supposed to help you - I'll add that to the list.

They are BRIGHT. When stopped at a light in the evening, you can see them bounce off the high mounted street signs, etc.

They are so bright they shine overhead highway road signs from wayyy down the road, they are really good, and I think mirrors also are very bright with new X5, I think they use the same on both LED and non LED packages so coupled with mirrors, these turn signals are very good. Like I said, I wish the rears were designed better with all those lights back there it makes no sense to completely turn off the tails when blinking.
