Has anyone negotiated tires when building/buying new?

Finally looking to upgrade our vintage (!) e53. Had 2 sets of wheels that was cycled for snow in New England and would REALLY love to avoid that this run. Has anyone got BMW to include all seasons on the 20" instead of the summers? Living in our area, it would be so nice to get all seasons included but they only seem to be offered with a 19" on the X6.

Thanks

Since there are no all-season run flat tires that fit the F15's 20" wheels, I doubt they would do that. You may be able to arrange a buy-back of the OEM tires if they can take them off as soon as the car arrives. That would mean that they'd have to mount your non-run flat tires for you. I'm not sure that the service dept would mount non-run flat tires on a car that is intended to use run flats. It can't hurt to ask.

You are 100% right, I wasn't considering the have to be RFT - the RFT options are winter only so I guess it makes no difference. Guess I will either have to go with 19" (not first choice), or get a winter set up again. Thank you.

I do have a winter set up on the e53, and I assume the lug pattern hasnt changed, so could just use those.

I have tried really hard to convince my dealer to change my winter tires (bought the car with 20" on summers and purchased additional 19"s with winters). They are Pirelli Scorpion Winters and I wanted anything but Pirelli. Didn't happen. Tried everything I possibly could. I was told that BMW only sells rims with tires of their choice, if bought as a pack. Wish you luck!

Thanks for the extra info. Considering people buy these from all different regions, etc., it would be a nice idea to be able to select your tires also since you can basically select everything else. Living in a cold climate you are basically forced into buying a winter/all season set up if you want a 20".
