Bye bye X5 M SPORT

This happened a few months ago and the car was deemed as a total loss. I thought I share this and the after aftermath to spread the word on how good and SAFE the X5 is. It was a 70mph collision with a semi truck, needless to say I walked out of it with out a scratch. Loved that car!!

^^^ CleanGC, safety is number 1, I always believe in bigger for safety, basic physics.
It must have been terrifying with 18 wheeler on freeway. Did/are you getting a similar size vehicle?

That looks bad. Hope you were okay and the car came back to life. I really think X5 is one of the best and safest cars Bmw made.

My E70 35i also got totaled no pics since I really did not want to have that memory with me. I escaped with only a bruised lip from the airbag.

FYI the E70s are safe trucks. It was a frontal collusion at about 50mph. The gap between the front doors and the front fender did not change. There are some collapsible bumpers in front that absorb all the damage to minimize frame damage and protect passengers. The guy I hit ( police blamed him for the accident) did a full 360 but my car just stopped.

Anyway I wanted to step up to the F15 but the wife wants a Toyota (Why the f**k?????) to gain full control of the processes I am going to have to get a new 2013 X5, mine was a 2011 so it's kind of an "upgrade".

Glad everyone is safe but I agree with anyone who says these X5s are safe.

Sorry to hear about the loss but I'm glad you walked out of it without serious injuries. I completely agree with you, X5 is one of the best and safest cars out there !
