2014 X5 xDrive 35i M Sport Delivered

Just got my 2014 X5 xDrive 35i. Amazing!!!! This is my 4th X5 in 8 years and the car keeps getting better. The M Sport version is fantastic and the new interior is stunning. Sport seats are very comfortable. Got it in Carbon Black with Lighting package, Cold package and Rear view camera. I attached some pictures.

^ BMWMN1971, enjoy your 8th X5, I assume there is no competition. Black beauty, pic's 2 and 4 to me look a little blueish, perhaps the lighting.

The color is carbon black. It's a two toned paint and is supposed to look blue in bright lights and black in darker ones!

Looks good
Did you get premium pack as well? If not, do you still have puddle lights under the door handle and do your side mirrors automatically fold? I see you have that interior light strip in the dash, so is that standard also without PP?
Thanks

Nice configuration. Does the M Sport wheels come with A/S tires?

With the 19" wheels yes. If you upgrade to the 20" wheels, they come with performance summer tires.

BMWMN1971, congrats. Beautiful color.

No premium package. Yes, there are LED lights under the door handles and you can control for how long you want them on. I am not sure if the mirrors automatically fold. You can press a button and fold them and the will come back out once you reach 5 miles/hour speed. The light strip on the dash is standard and you can have it in several different color combinations.

Good to hear about the puddle lights and folding mirrors (yeah, I was referring to being able to push the button for them to automatically fold). I didn't get the PP in my 2011 X5d and missed out on the puddle lights and mirrors. I'm thinking I definitely don't need the PP w/F15 if it's just soft close doors and comfort access. I can just get leather as a stand alone, but if I want the mocha design, they force you into getting the PP as well.

Another question for the OP. With the M-Sport pack, do you get to choose the finish of the roof rails? I thought they came in high gloss black?

Premium package used to be "necessary" on previous X5 otherwise you would be missing a lot of options. Now it does not make sense unless you really need comfort access, soft door closing and satellite radio (just 1 year). At least in my case it did not make sense to pay $2700 for that. Same with Driver Assistance Package. It costs $1400 and you get rear view camera and head-up display. Well, rear view camera is in my case needed but I am don't need to pay $1000 for head-up display. Thus, nice that BMW allows you to add just the camera for $400.

It's really only $1250, since the M sport package forces you to get leather for $1450 regardless. So it's a matter of whether or not the comfort access, soft close doors, and Sirius are worth it for $1250 for you, unless you're not getting M sport and don't want leather. I initially said no too, then decided the comfort access and soft close doors would be very useful with small kids..

Thanks guys. Those wheels doesn't look off with the extended wheel arches. What's the specs? Is it the usual 19x9 255/50/19?
