That would be my guess as well Chrisny, but I think the flares give the more aggressive appearance for the body and since the X6 is geared more to sports than the X5 I figured these models would have them

I think you are correct. Just looking at the backside picture of the X6...it appears that the fenders are actually more flared thus negating the need for the flared arches. Either way, I may be biased, but I do like the flared arches.

Checked out a flamenco red x6 today, not a bad color but I think the mineral white makes the X6 look better. Lucky for me they had these two nose to nose at the dealership. Even convinced the wife on mineral white but she said only if we get M sport package and wants the black grill.
What's strange is you can't get ventilated multi contour coral red seats! iPhone pics and both cars were dirty. Strange thing with the red is I liked it from the side but not the front, maybe it was the reflection angle but had a bit of a pinkish hue. |

Yes, that is correct. And to accomodate 'skinnier' wheels, the OEM wheels have built-in spacers on the rears. Who'da thought? (My service department found that out the hard way).
